Just get a call blocker app! Send them to go to hell!

It's really unsafe to answer any call if you don't recognize the number. Identity thieves require little more than to connect your name to a phone number anymore.

calls leaves no message.  don't want to call # back to find out.  i would think a legitimate call would leave a message.  must be a demon dialer that hangs up when no live answer.

This collection agency contacted me about my Federal Student Loan. If you have a debt, remember that avoiding the debt is admission to the debt and if this goes to court, you will lose. Also, it your debt is for any federal loans, your wages and tax returns can and will be garnished if you do not comply.

I just got my first call from them but I never pick up calls from numbers I don' know...sorry guys...you ain't reachin' whomever it is you are looking for!

I'm so sorry about your daughter. :( My daughter was hit and almost killed by a drunk driver last year, while she was on a bike ride. She suffers from brain injuries...it's heartbreaking. God Bless you.

I just took a call from this nimber, at my job. the lady said her name was crystal and that she needed me to verify my ss after already telling her i was the person she asked for. i told her i do not give that info out over the phone, so she asked me to tell her my DOB. i also do not give that info out over the phone. she gave me the last 4 digits of my ss and asked if that was correct, i said yes. she then asked me to give the first five to verify i was who i said i was. CMON REALLLYYY!!!!!!!!!!!  oh and she also told me she had already verified my info with my employer. nedless to say she never told me what she was calling for and i hung up on her.

I did get a call from that number about a week ago and told them that I did not have a job, and was having trouble finding one in the town I live in. She then told me "I have a job YOU can find a job" and was none to nice about it. Was a collection for student loans, got another call from them and Told the supervisor that I did not have a job and did not know when I would get one although I have been looking. since than I get two phone calls a day from the same number  Once at 7:45 a.m. and than again about 7:45 p.m. they let it ring twice and then hang up, never giving me time to answer. It is really annoying....very RUDE person

I got a call today, asking if I was (I won't say the name she used) I said No one here by that name, then she asked me if she had reached (I won't mention the name of the Company) FYI the name she used was our old business NINE years ago! I said that there was No such Company by that name in 9 years, she then asked me if the business had (gone under) I just said that there was no such business for 9 years. The name she asked if I was, is Not a name that my husband Nor I have heard before, with the exception that I got the SAME exact call about two years ago! (WEIRD)!!
I'm GLAD I found this (page) I was about to go Postal on my husband (again) the first time this happened I (assumed) he had been cheating on me with the gal they were asking about! (thinking that (they) were applying for loans together, (etc...) FRUSTRATING!! (sigh) I won't be bothering my husband with this call....... THANK YOU ALL FOR POSTING!! :-D HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I live in Toronto, Canada and a woman has called twice my work from that number regarding a +4K debt.  I have never called them back and have no idea how she go my work number

My new phone number is unlisted and unpublished. They called looking for my daughter who died a month ago. I got this number after she died. She had been sick for 16 months with a brain injury. I refused to give them any identifying information about my daughter. This woman claimed this number was on "the file" they were sent by "someone". She refused to tell me who that someone was. I told her to never call my number again. I have no idea how they got this number as I have not given it to anyone outside of a few friends.

YES! It is Pioneer but they are calling for the person who used to have my cell phone number.  I belive a number cannot be re-issued until it is a year old.

I hate strange numbers.  First time they called me.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

845-589-9299 keeps calling my house number, sometimes 3 times a day.  Never says anything on the machine.

This number has called my phone a couple of times. They never leave a message.

Same story as above. They call people who have the same last  name as me and who live in my city.
The people constantly explain that they have the wrong number, and they just keep calling back.
I have had strangers with my last name call me yelling.

This number calls me 5 times a day and now they have started calling my work being rude to my coworkers. I called them back and told them they better never call my work again and to leave me alone. So Crystal the one that calls me she is a idiot starting calling my cell phone again. I cant stand these people and I am tired of them calling me.

It is a collection agency for Sallie Mae student loans.  We've received the call looking for a relative who has never lived here.  This is the 3rd call this week.

They called and asked for my child by name.  I asked why and when they wouldn't tell me I informed them that the call was illegal as the person they were asking for was a minor.  I knew it had to be a fishing expedition.

This appears to actually be Pioneer CREDIT SERVICES who collects Student Loans on behalf of Sallie Mae, and they are nasty, nasty,NASTY. They will say and do anything to get information out of you and will NOT take no for an answer. And fair warning, they will call you 4 times a day everyday if you make the mistake of answering.

They called me 2:45 Pm on the 18th of January, and said that my daughter used me for a refference.  They wanted to know her phone number so that they could contact her.  I refused and asked who he was and what company he represented and his name.   He replied his name was Jordan Warner and his phone number was 866-267-3427, and he was from Pioneer Cutlery.  I told him I would contact my daughter, which I did.  She never heard of him.   Some sort of scam but I have no idea what.

THey call me everyday atleast twice a day. Thank you for warming me!! I will not answer! I cant beleive that they expect a socale security number!

They called me 5 times a day for over a week. They asked for my social security number and said they are Pioneer and calling about student loan.

This number calls me at least twice a day and I do not answer.  I think I have answered it in the past and have had a similar experience as other persons. I wish there was a way to block this number from calling me.

Ditto:  This number keeps calling and I will not pick up any call from an unknown number. They have called at various times during the day, from 9 AM to 9:30 PM. I'm really getting tired of it!

They have already called me twice today.  I searched the number and it came back unpublished from congers, ny.  After reading these 2 posts, I will not be answering this phone call.

I've gotten two calls from these guys who won't take a simple "wrong number" for an answer but instead insist that someone with a different name lives at my address.  They argue after I politely tell them that no one with that name lives here (or as far as I know has ever lived here) and they see my unwillingness to give my own name to a random caller as being "evasive".

I don't know who they are, but my I have a very negative impression of them.

They asked me to reveal the last four digits of my social security number, before they would reveal who they were to me. I hung up on them.
