Phone rang. Checked Caller ID. Didn't recognize the number.  Didn't answer.  Done.  No muss.  No fuss. Not much time taken up with nonsense.
Didn't pick up to let the caller(s) know that it was a viable number. Didn't listen to find out what accent was used or what the purpose of the call was.  Didn't care then.  Don't care now.
Didn't get upset if the DNC was adhered to (I'm on it but scammers, who don't follow the DNC guidelines, will find ways to get around it) or what Obama is going to do about it.
I have a life and instead of getting bent out-of-shape, morally indignant, cursing and slamming the phone down, and making this a big deal (instead of the small irritant that I choose to make it), I move on with my life.  I'm in charge of what takes up my time.
That's just what I do. Simple.  More power for me and for you, if you follow my lead, right?

P.S.  The DNC IS working; otherwise, calls from legitimate charities, political action
committees, annual fundraising, and other businesses that ARE following the
        guidelines would be calling, also.

Caller said his name was Mike.  Mike had a strong accent and also could have bee female.  Said he was calling from Microsoft - I said I hadn't placed to Microsoft.  "Mike" said no, Microsoft was calling me because my Microsoft found that my computer was downloading numerous virus' as we were speaking.  I said I am a working computer technician with numerous Microsoft certifications (which is true) and that not only did I run a Symantec program on that computer but I had recently taken it off the network because it ran XP.  I said shame on you for calling untrained individuals and scaring them to steal their money.  Get a real job.   It's a total scam - don't fall their lies.

The name of this company is Errors PC.  Their website is www.errorspc.com.  They will literally harass you, by calling your number numerous times.

My mother just said that she is receiving the same messages from this Guy with a thick Indian accent and he is getting on her last nerve. She is very ill and does not need to be harassed my these people. I told her to get a whistle and when they call don't say hello, just blow it in his ear as long as she can and then hang up.

These people called me twice in less than 2 hours. I am on the do not call list. I talked to two people on the other line, and they both spoke English with what sounded like a heavy indian accent. They are calling with claims that they are from Microsoft. This is a scam... Dont give them any information. Take a look at this link from microsoft that explains they dont cold call: http://www.microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

I reported these people to the FTC, and I suggest you do the same. Follow the link below, and follow the instructions:

Yep, same thing to me too.  Twice they've called, but I am at work and not at my PC.  They only work 12 hours day.  They even asked if anyone was home to perform their "service".  They call themselves GBMTECHSUPPORT.  Very thick Indian accent.  Could barely understand them.

Yep, another crappy scam from India - it's gotten so bad I decided to have fun with them instead of getting upset.  Now when they call I tell them I'm from Microsoft anti-scam department and am beginning to monitor their activities 24hrs a day.
