Received a call from 845-765-4811 on 2/24/2014 at 7:05pm EST and on 2/25/14 at 2:38pm EST. Caller ID displayed "Power Division" Did not answer and no message was left.

Based on the comments posted here this appears to be another "Electric Service" scam.

I have added this number to my Google Voice block list.

Time Warner has NOMOROBO working. Calls blocked after first ring by NOMOROBO.com ? If you have an Internet-based VoIP phone service that offers this, get signed on.  It's FREE.

They asked me about my electricity usage and charges so they could compare and see if they could lower my cost.  I told them I wasn't interested and to stop calling but they kept calling so I ignored the calls.  After a few days of these calls, I called them back to complain but I couldn't get a real person.  What I did get was a recording to press 1 to be added to the do not call list.  Since they already had my phone number and not answering the calls didn't deter them from calling, I pressed 1.  Although it took their 48 hours processing time, I'm so relieved that it worked to stop these calls thereafter.

Whenever I receive a call from a
number I don't  recognize or  from one that is not in my contact list I always answer the phone " county morgue". That always throws them off..

Caller ID "Power Division" ... FEB 24@04:08pm EST? also called Feb. 21 1:11pm. I do not answer callers I do not know. They did not leave a message. I'm signing up for the new NOMOROBO.COM since my phone is internet based.  

did not answer call, but from what I read, they are a phishing call.

No message left from Beacon, NY

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago. Obvious telemarketer type of call. When I picked up, silence, then a click, then someone came online with slight accent (Brookyln?). I made fart noises in response to everything they had to say. They hung up after about 60 seconds. If anything, I has some fun and it prevented them from calling and bugging someone else for 60 seconds.

Computer generated call asking to press 0 to connect to an operator wanting response to mailing I never got about reducing electric rate.  The calls keep coming at all hours of the day.

Just got a call from this number.  I don't answer numbers I don't recognize.  Getting annoying.

They called today and I usually do not answer numbers I don't recognize but I thought I'd tell them NOT to call me again, so I answered.  NOBODY THERE!!  SO FRUSTRATING!!!!

his number called 8/23; left partial message (same partial message as this # 315-285-9931 caller id as HELP CENTER) -this # id as POWER DIVISION - from what you can hear of message , it is a phishing call looking for your personal information; NEVER ,NEVER EVER give out any personal information unless you make the call- you are your own best defense
