I recieved a call from "Kelly" she said she works for a company called "Bridal Rewards Center" & she called me from "845-782-1410 but asked that I call back to 845-782-1400". She told me that she recieved my phone number and information from a bridal expo I went to,, the only problem is the expo I went to I gave out fake numbers because I didn't want marketing calls and a lot of non-sense. I am getting married but only went to the Bridal Expo to see different wedding gowns on the runway. This is a total scam. She told me we won a 7 day Honeymoon vacation to an island which is 100% free. But asked that we put a major credit on file for a security deposit in case any damage to the hotel which they will have to put 80% of the cost of the trip hold on the credit card but will take it off once the trip is done and no damages are reported. It sounds so crazy! I hope no one falls for this crap but to be honest "I did". I gave her the credit card number and decided to book the trip even though our wedding wasn't for another year and the hold appeared within hours. The amount they put on hold was 15,000 dollars. I called and was told the hotel, flight, car, meals and spa was included and the trip was worth 18,000 dollars total so 80% is 15 thousand. Then within days the money was taken off my credit card of course I didn't realize until I got my bill which took 5 weeks, I called and was tranfered and was given the run around. This has set me back in many ways. My boyfriend called off the wedding and left me saying this was too much for him to deal with. My credit card bill is now at 12,000 dollars after I paid on it for 14 months. I can't get any information out of them to where their located and to be honest I have contacted the cops in my area but they said it is nothing they can do. Its my world against there and I had just brought a new BMW 2011 three days before this happened so it just looked like I was a big spender because I brought the BMW in cash to save almost 33% and I took the cash advance from that same credit card.

Just got a call from a person named "Shay" and when I called back spoke to "Kelly" from this number at the "Bridal Awards Center" mentioning that me and my fiance won a 3-day, 2-night trip to a number of destinations, get $1000 of grocery store coupons, and get a significant discount on their products if I were to attend one of their cooking demonstration shows at a (cheap) hotel in kind of a shady area. She did mention the specific bridal show we went to, which made them seem a little bit more legit, however not sure if I'm going to go... They also didn't ask for any personal information.  I visited their website, globallifestyles.com, and looked around. Seems like an unsophisticated site. After reading other reviews on these types of calls, they apparently ask for $1000 down for the vacation, which I think sounds a little fishy. Not quite sure if it's a security deposit to make sure you go, or if they run off with your money.

I had a message on my voice mail yesterday from Jennifer calling from"The Bridal Awards Center".  She stated that I should return her call the minute I received the message in order to claim my prize. My fiance and I have only been engaged for a month now, I don't know how these people got my number, but I'm very happy I checked it out before calling them back.

I too received a call from a "Jennifer" with the bridal department of Global Lifestyles.  She stated I had been selected to receive a vacation package that included the hotel accommodations for [I think] four nights at a 4-star hotel.  She says I entered the contest at an expo I attended two months ago.  When I asked her to email me the information, she stated they do not use computers, to which I replied "What type of business are you calling from again?"...I mean really, who doesn't use computers in this era.  She stated my fiancé and I would have to sit through their presentation but that there was no obligation to buy anything.  The presentation is being held at a local [cheap] hotel in our area and is expected to last about 90 minutes.  I asked what the odds were for this contest, she stated they choose 10% of the entries from the expos.  She tried to lock me into a meeting for this week, and when I told her I needed to discuss it with my fiancé she suggested we visit their website.  I did ? and when you click on the link for their contact information you are prompted to type out your inquiry and enter an email address?funny?I thought they didn?t use computers.  Sounds like a total scam to me!
