This is a law firm however they were legit in my case. I had my purse stolen and teh robbers had forged around 15 checks. When they were returned to the store where they were written it was turned over to this company to collect on the bad checks. I sent them a copy of the police report and that was it. No problem. They weren't very nice by any means..

Apparently this number is a company called Rephen Law Firm. Joke is, they are just a debt collector with very deceptive and rude practices. They called my MIL and left a message for me. First, I don't live with her. From what I have read, they will threaten, berate, talk down and be extremely rude and call you names. Also, they will not give you any information about the debt you may (or may not) have until you send them money. From what I've read, they only accept Western Union or Money Gram. I'll be contacting them soon, but I wanted to research them first because I have no idea what this is. If you want more information, check www.ripoffreport.com and search Rephen Law Firm. There are a lot of reports on there. They also supposedly will take a warrant out for your arrest, but the one I read like that, well, not sure they actually had anything to do with the arrest, lol. Even if you plan on calling them to get them to stop calling, do some research on them first so that you are prepared to deal with them. They truly sound like scum.
