They called we answered and they hung up

Got call from this number saying he was with the local police and was collecting donations.  Knowing that the police department would never call and ask for bank information I knew that the call must have been an attempt to steel my identity or drain my bank account.I asked for a website or a letter to be mailed to me from the police department and this angered him something fierce lol. I also said that I would donate but we would need to hangup and I would call the police department back and finish the transaction that way. He eventually hung up saying he would mail me a pledge card from the wappingers PD

Just got a call from this number. Wasn't able to answer in time. When I called back I was hung up on twice. The third time a male answered and said that I had the wrong number. I called back a fourth time and was hung up on again!!!!

Got a call from this number just a few minutes ago. I knew it was a bogus call and immediately called Orangetown PD and reported them. If it is a bogus scam, I hope they lock the b*****ds up! Alot of scams going around and they are targeting elderly people. BEWARE !!!

Got a call from this number, Said they were from the PBA.  Got rude when I said I was not interested.  Said he knew my address and that he would tell everyone that I do not support the PBA

I received at least 4 calls from this number in the last week, when i answered they asked for my wife and said they were calling for the Viet-Nam vets, when iaske what they wanted they hung up each time. I tried calling the number back and got a lady who said she dialed my number by mistake, I called back 10 mintues later and a guy answered and said it was for the cancer association. Something very wrong with this number....845-875-7176

my answering machine picked up.  Caller [male] kept saying hello hello and then hung up.
