I got a call from this number, they asked for me by name, when I said it was me they hung up. I just blocked the number.

I called them back. They're sell auto repair insurance, warranty extensions etc.

They just called me and stayed silent for about 9 seconds before hanging up. By the description, it sounds like the same people that used to call me from the San Francisco are at least once a week and wouldn't stop no matter how many times I told them I wasn't interested. Eventually I decided to have fun with them and started telling them things like yes I was interested but all my cars had 200k+ miles on each or Id ask if they were able to get a real job. I know it's bad but man they were rude a** people.

Yep same thing as above. The call caught me off guard, but I quickly realized it was a SCAM when the caller was trying to dig for information about my warranty or coverage. The guy got mad and hung up when I refused to give him any details. If it was a telemarketer he wasn't very good at his job.

They claimed to be the Chevrolet Auto Servicing Department, although I asked if they were a division of General Motors and they said they are a third party. They were aware that my bumper-to-bumper coverage was near expiration. I told them that my 5-year/100,000-mile warranty was still good, and they hung up. This is clearly some sort of scam. Any real sales associate would try to rebuff something like that.
