I get at least 3 calls a day from 847-348-8661 It's Bank of America's collection agency and do I owe them money. I got very sick with an infection that damaged all of my organs and have been off work for 3 years now fighting it! Up until 10/2011 my bills were currant because I borrowed money from family and friends after selling everything of value I owned to pay them. Now I have nothing left and these blood suckers want more. I tell them all this and they keep saying I need to come up with the money and keep calling sometimes twice a day!! I'm in a chair on oxygen 22 hours a day with my leggs in the air fighting for my life everyday and they just keep harassing me!! I finally put the following message on my answering machine. "Hello"................."Hello"................"Hello"..........."Hellooooo"??..........."Just kidding leave a message"!!!!! You do the "hellos" a few seconds appart just like you got a call with no one there!! Drives them CrAzY!!!!

Received a number of calls from this phone number.   They blasted music over the phone and then hung up.   They never leave a voicemail.  
How can someone stop this kind of phone harrassment?    It's sad that there is no phone technology to block specific unwanted calls.

Someone from this number harrassed me at work this morning.  It is unacceptable!!  Whoever these people are calling from that number should be visisted by the police and advised to stop!!.

doesn't leave a message....I have no debts they'd be calling me about (if it is United Recovery Systems), so it must be someone for my ex-husband, or grown child.  I'm sure I've answered a call from this number in the past and they ask for some woman and I told them this isn't her, no such person at this number take my number out of your system.

Received three calls in the last two days from 847 348 8661. Caller was especially loud & rude demanding to speak with Ms. XXXX.

I told this troglodyte I was hard of hearing and he would have to "speak up". He repeated his demand to speak with Ms. XXXX but in a much louder voice.

I repeated that I was hard of hearing and he began to shout at the top of his lungs...demanding to speak with Ms. XXXX.

I closed the conversation by calmly commenting "I wasn't deaf..just hard of hearing  and there was no need to shout". Then I hung up. lol

Nagging. Just calling everyday. For no reason.

got a call from this number, assume it's a/c is 847.....looking for my husband's cousin, who we have not seen in person in at least five years.   Was told by the woman on the phone she had been working with the cousin, had not been in contact for a while, and now some decisions regarding the business need to be made.     Called the cousin and gave all the information about the call I received.    Cousin knows of no one at the a/c and phone number.   Cousin is perplexed as to why someone would be calling our house, instead of cousin in person especially for business reasons.

I get repeated calls from this number.  They hang up if I answer and don't leave messages. Apparently a very lazy employee trying to look busy. I report them to DoNotCall.gov every few months.  They stop calling for awhile, then start up again. Not sure if it's because of DoNotCall reports.

847-348-8661 called 9-13-11 6:00 PM Central asking for information on a neighbor?  Really??  How can this be legal? Of course I gave them none and hung up.

It appears to be a collection company, again how can it be legal to try and get info for one of my neighbors???  Callers name was Shawna.  This is the second call I have received asking for info on the same person.

This phone number is a collections agency.  United Recovery Systems uses this phone number.

Recived calls from this number on my cell phone and work phone. No answear and no message. During the first call on my cell, I heard girls' voices wispering. looks like teenager/kids prank. Called back to this number and it apperars to be disconnected or no longer exist.

Got a call from them yesterday asking to verify information.  I said who are you?  They said URS.   Re asked to verify.  I said why do you need this information.  They said they already have it and they need to verify.  Couldn't get them to answer why until they hung up.

I got a call from this number and they told me it had to do with my Bank of America credit card.  I know I owe them, but the card was written off because I lost both my jobs two years ago.  They asked me if I had unemployment, which I am almost done with my 5th and last extension.  Then they asked if I had a friend or relative who could pay the amount of money I owe them.  I told them no, because my daughter, son-in-law, and brother are all out of work too.  They told me it was an attempt to collect a debt and that they would keep calling me until I paid them.  THAT is illegal and I know it, but cannot get the call blocked, so I just don't answer it.

These knucleheads keep calling asking for different names. When asked what they wanted and who they represented they just said it was a personel matter. I left a complaint with the FTC. Maybe that'll help. If not at lease have a complaint number so when they call me I'll call the FTC!

I got a call on Saturday and was informed it an attempt to collect a debt on behalf if Capital One. I told the woman it was a bad time and I'd be available on Monday around 10am. If your getting calls from these people it's probably because you (or someone you know) owe money to someplace. Alot of times these places will make idle threats so be warned.

This number has called a few times...one call was about having our car repossessed?!? (We are in no way late on payments in anything.) Called the number back and the man who answered was EXTREMELY rude. Next time I am going to screw with them. After reading these reports it makes me even more angry about them calling.

someone called us today from this same number saying they were looking for our "neighbors," who we had never heard of. very weird and unsettling. does anyone have any updates? has anyone on this list seen any strange activity in other part of their lives since these calls occurred?

Calls almost if not everyday. Leaves no message. Some times calls twice a day.

Yes it is a joke.

My grandmother received a call from this number from a lady named Claudia Tripp. She stated she was looking for my mother. My mother has never lived at that address or used my grandmother's number. The lady was very rude and refused to say what the call was in regards to.

They keep calling but I have yet to pick-up.  After reading all these comments I guess I will pick-up next time and just mess around with them.

I like to play mind games anyway.  It is just annoying.  That do not call list is a joke.

Man looking for a particular person. I said there is no one here by that name. He asked if I knew the person and I said no. There has been at least 6 calls since with no message left. I don't answer if I am home.

Insistent on talking to my parents.  Gave them no information.  Got ride of him.  Gentlemen was very very rude.  Said his name was ESTATHIOS.

We have received several calls from this number from a man (3 times), and today from a woman. They keep saying they are trying to reach someone and say they sent information to a particular address and just want to confirm. It's a lie - they never sent anything. The woman said today that they are trying to let the person know about some personal information. She said the company was URSLP Limited - her name is Mary Lewis. Again I suspect it is a lie and they just want to GET information from us. I refused to give them any information and hung up saying I would report them to the police.

The same thing happened to me. I also live in Cook County. I called the number back and they said that it was disconnected. I called the Cook County Sherriff's office and they were not receptive at all.

I received a call from this same number on my cell phone.  Was a lady looking for my ex, when I told her she had the wrong number she became very rude and had an attitude.  I just hung up on her, I have gotten 2 more calls since from the same number, but they don't leave a message.

Received a call from 1-847-348-8661 at 8:08 this morning.  The caller was extremely rude, asking for someone who does not live here.  He was very persistant and rude and we hung up on him.
