Getting these calls 1-2 a day from different phone numbers in the 847 area code. Today I answered and there was nobody there at first, but finally a man came on asking for Craig. I informed him he had the wrong number and they needed to stop calling. He hung up on me. Slime ball. A professional company would not do that.

When I pick up I can hear breathing on the other side, and that is it. I think they like prank calling people...

This *is* Chase collection people (evidently ex-h fell behind, and they linked my phone number to him, somehow). Maybe it's a service that more than one creditor uses, which would explain why maybe calling that number back doesn't work.
The people AT Chase might not know the outgoing phone numbers of the hired guns.

Got a call from them. Called them back. Menu is suspcious. First thing "Veronica" asked was for my account number to which I replied "no." I then stated I wanted them to stop calling me. She asked if it was a wrong number so I just said yes. We'll see if that works or not. Otherwise I believe there are some provisions in place by the feds to prevent this sort of crap and I'll have to go and look that up.

This phone number keeps calling my house since Christmas for no reason. I called back to her a female "voice" state "thank you for calling back" Chase JP Morgan. However, the "lady voice" then immediately asks for your credit card number OR social security number. I would NEVER enter that information to a VOICE machine~this could be a scam of some sort..the lady "voice" seems to give a phony option to speak to a rep..I pressed zero, and her response is "you have not entered enough digits" highly suspicious in my book. I was always warned, NEVER, ever give out a social security number especially to a voicemail on a "machine." Sometimes a real rep who is legit will ask for last four digits to confirm you are an account owner, that is protocol when it's a legit and real live person. Please, look into this as many people may be fooled into giving out their identity/credit card information. Thank you.

My office keeps getting calls from this number, also. Nobody is ever there and then it hangs up. When I called the number back and some lady said that it was her cell phone and that her company isn't JP Morgan (which is what comes up on the CID). Very strange. I just get annoyed having to rush to get to the phone and it just ends up being a hang-up.

i had been receiving this call a few times the last several days. Never answered but decided to call back. Automated voice sounds almost like the one Chase uses. Message that is said, "Thank you for returning our call. Please enter your 16 digit card number or 9 digit social security number." Yeah right! I hung up and called Chase bank # off the back of my card. They verified that it was NOT their number. It was most likely a phishing scam. She explained that when Chase Bank calls they call from, and ask for you to call back, a 1-800 or 1-866 number.

I got a call from this number. Caller ID said JP Morgan Chase.
I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.
I manually called the number back and the automated response said "Thank you for calling Chase Card Services & for calling us back: To better direct your call ...."
About that time is when I hung up because I did not want to speak to a human collections agent.

I've been getting calls from this number (847-426-9203) on both my home phone and cell phone. On the home phone it comes up as JP Morgan Chase Bank and when I do the dial back it shows the number above. When I have answered all I get is hangups. I don't think it's really Chase.
Julie 2013-09-13 20:55:49 Unknown
I don't think it's really chase, especially if they are claiming to be debt collection because I have NEVER had an account with them or even applied for anything through them so there is no way I owe them money and no reason for them to call me at all.
Julie 2013-09-13 20:53:19 Unknown
Yeah I don't think it's really Chase, because I have NEVER had an account with or even ever applied for an account with them and they keep calling me and not leaving a message.

Keep calling, most of the time no one there. Talked with them last week but remained suspicious if call was legitimate. Worked out situation the one time that they did answer, but they are still calling and will not stop. They stated my partial account number, but I was still very suspicious and call did not feel appropriate. The repeated continuous calling somewhat confirms my suspicion.

I just got a call from this number but didn't answer cause I didn't recognize number. Yes, I have an account with Chase but there is no reason for them to be calling me. By the way this number left No Message.

I have been having the same problems as some of the other messages on here, have talked about.. It probably is Chase Bank it sure wouldn't be a surprised.!! Thing is the last I had to do with Chase, is when they sold my mortgage to some Bank in India..?? Yes they are slime balls to the max..!! They have no ethics, and no sense of honor they ripped me off for $25,000.00 bucks and nothing the Government will do about it..!! They are Demons without morals., and they are untouchable.! Seriously, that is no fabrication..! How many Wallstreet executive bankers have been prosecuted for putting our country and almost the world in economy peril., in the last 5-6 years..? Answer; None?!!!

This number is from chase card services a collection agency.
Chloe 2013-03-30 13:17:32 Unknown
It's Chase, but I'm not behind on my payments, so this is rather annoying. Every time I pick up to talk to someone about what's going on, no one is on the other end.

This number calls our main office number several times a day 7 days a week. When ever we answer the phone they just hang up. We are never given a chance to say anything to anyone and let them know they have the wrong number. We have checked the Call Log on the phone system and this number is always from JP Morgan Chase Bank. It is very annoying to constantly receive calls from a company that only hangs up when you answer the phone. This is just proof how horrible a company Chase is!!!! If they had a real reason to be calling people nonstop everyday they would actually speak to you when you answer but they would rather call constantly and harass your business. Unlike them the company I work for actually has clients and customers and we need our phone to help them not to call and harass other companies. CHASE is a horrible business if you use them you should close out all your accounts and take your business elsewhere!!!
