If you dial the number, the ONLY message you get is "Hello and thank you for calling. If you would like to be placed on a Do Not Call List from this number, please press 1 now."  Didn't press 1, as I wanted to see who it was.  Nothing but this message kept repeating.  I pressed 1.

Since it is from Schaumburg, IL, "call center," it is very likely an unsolicited "customer service call" (which we have received in years past) in violation of FTC call &/or call-back rules.
The morons are starting up a new year with the advent of bad weather & possible weather-related damages.

Called about 5:30 pm, caller ID says "Electric Dept", yea right. No message left.

I started getting these calls since 4/7, and daily thereafter.  Here's a way to stop this caller (copy/paste) from a blog comment for another phone number that works for this phone number too; help@do-not-call.org to send a do not call request.  I tried it out last week and gave the caller's phone number and the receiving phone number.  I got a reply to confirm the request and to allow 48 business hours.  

Has called several times but I never answer and they never leave a message. Guess it confirms that it's someone who wants money.

I keep getting calls from this number. No message is left.  

Received call from 847-592-8835 on 4/9/14.  Didn't leave message.  I am on National DNC registry so I'm reported the solicitation to FTC, IL Attorney General and www.donotcall.gov.

On caller ID it says Electric Dept.and they never leave a message.  Have received a call a few times.

Called me twice today.  SO sick of these spammers!!!

I let the phone go to message mode, but no message left. Caller ID read: Electric Dept., not ComEd, which is my local sevice company.
