received call from the same phone number, have been calls from different scammers since i went on line for a payday loan...please  do not do this, it was the biggest mistake of my life, these sites is littered wth scammers, i believe this number is one of them...i believe them to be fake debt collectors, once you engage them in conversation they will continue to call you relentlessly.....let the machine get the or block the number.

They have been calling me a lot and do not say anything and on my voicemail it sounds like automated but they hang up

Called again this AM, same phone.  I tried to answer it so I could find out WHO they are, WHAT they want and to tell them to STOP CALLING A CELL PHONE, but no one there.  SCUMBAGS.

How are we supposed to 'ask them not to call anymore' as indicated on the DNC  List complaint form, if THEY don't pick up when they call??

I am getting these calls ON MY PRIVATE, UNPUBLISHED CELL PRE-PAY CELL phone.  Have read reports on other sites that this is  "Burdick & Dynia" or "Budzik & Dynia", Debt collection Agencies and/or Legal Firms specializing in Debt Collection.  If this is indeed a legitimate Bill Collector, I have ***NO CREDIT*** WHATSOEVER tied to this number, NOR do we have ***ANY*** outstanding bills, so I cannot fathom WHY they are calling.  I WILL NOT ANSWER any calls whose number I do not recognize or do not PROPERLY IDENTIFY themselves because there is SO MUCH SPAM and SCAMS out there, so there is NO WAY to know ahead of time WHEN to answer - or not.

I UNDERSTAND that it is ILLEGAL for Collection Agencies to CALL CELL PHONES.  We have TWO LANDLINES **IF**, indeed, they are trying to reach "US" and not some person unknown to us.  If they are trying to reach the person who had my cell number years ago, then that is too bad.  This number is **ONLY** for cells; so this call would be illegal, regardless.

Has been calling for the past week with no message.  Today I was home and decided to answer.  Automated computer voice (which I thought was illegal), and I stayed on hold for a min and connected.  She asked if this was me and I said yes.  She wanted me to confirm my social security number last four digits.  I told her no. I wouldn't do that over the phone.  I then asked who this company was.  She stated Dynia and Associates.  I asked who it was for.  She state Jefferson Capital, which I know I have received letters from, so all they did was buy that account off of them.  I asked if she had sent me any letters, she stated yes, that is why they are calling me to get to an agreement.  I stated well I will look for the letters and please do not call me.  I will be sending a cease and desist letter.  As I was hanging up, I could here her saying, "well that is a good way to get out of ....."

calls 3x a week leaves no message

called my cell phone tonight.  when asked they refused to give a name or company.  so i refused to give mine.  then they resopnded with.  "is this your name and social security number XXX-XX-XXXX. i need to verify this? at this point i stated that i was recording the call and they hung up.  can they actually read off your ssn to someone if they don't know its you?  this is the 6th day in a row that they have called, but the first time someone was actually on the line.  the other 5 time where 30 seconds plus of dead air.  only thing i can tink of is some shady scam artist with an autodialer.
