I got the same call from GEC - same number, and they asked for the SAME AMOUNT - five hundred eighty something, and told me to call that number and told me I needed to send in my W2's. Im going to look into this a little more since w2's contain info you dont want going around. The guy at the "illinois dept of revenue didnt even give me his last name.

Call from 847-741-7841 caller id said don't pick up. Message for x boyfriends brother saying looking for him contact Lilli Elsta at 800-964-7921 ext 6017. Brother never lived here. They went to a lot of effort to be calling my number.

Called today. No message left. I seriously hate collection agencies.

I received a call from 847-741-7841 a couple days ago. The number they gave me to call back was 866-749-7279. I had been told to call that number before by a caller a couple months ago from an 812 number when I had decided that it was a scam, so I was pretty skeptical going in. I called back and they said the same thing as before: that I owed $600 in Illinois taxes from two years ago. I said that it was impossible because I paid the $4 I owed when I filed my taxes, and the check had been taken out of my account and everything (I had proof). They said that I needed to call 217-785-5212 (Illinois Department of Revenue) to figure it out. I looked on the Illinois Department of Revenue's site and called a number listed on there in case it was a scam as I suspected. Turns out I was wrong. For some reason they needed my actual W2s to prove that I had taxes taken out from my income, and since they didn't have them, they were going to make me pay $600 (I guess that's what I paid in Illinois taxes that year). I'm obviously sending them in, but the number actually is for GC Services, a collection agency. They were a little shady feeling when I called, but the state apparently uses them, so don't ignore in case it's something as stupid as this!

Called looking for Jennel or Jannel?  No such person I know of.  Said it was URGENT and she must call back immediately.  They seem to not understand I am not her and I don't know her.  Calling back over and over and over and leaving urgent messages for Jannel to call back...
I don't answer any more and that may have been my original mistake is that I answered once.

Don't know who it is. Left a name and number to call but didn't say who they are with. Didn't read the mini-maranda either if it was a collection company. Gonna save the message and hope it is a collection company that didn't read me my rights so I can use it if they ever do sue.

Got a call from a Heidi saying that I needed to call them back at a 866 number did not say what about or who the company was.

Called and asked for me, never left company name or what it pertains to. Just I needed to contact them.

I keep receiving calls from this number but do not recognize the number so I never answer. When I call back it's busy. I'm assuming it's a scam number. I would like to report this somewhere to have it blocked

These people called me but i didn't answer. I came to the internet to see who the number belongs to. And now I see.

I keep receiving harassing phone calls telling me that I owe state taxes, which are listed on my bankruptcy and the state did submit proof of claim.

On caller ID 4pm, left no message, reverse phone lookup says it's from Airport Rd somewhere in Illinois...???

Started asking about neighbors.  Girl on the phone was a real pushy b!tch.  Fvck her.

This number calls me constantly.  I never answer and they never leave a message.  Now they call me from a supposedly local number that is fake.  When I answered asked for a lady that I've never heard of.  When I told them I had no idea who that person was, they called me a liar and told me if I didn't help them I could go to jail.  FREAKING SCAMMERS!

My wife got a call today (2-17-10) and asked for my 7 yo stepson, but used my last name. My wife asked if they ment,------, and gave them his real name and they said yes. she then told them that he is a 7 yo kid. they said "ok thank you". and hung up before my wife could get any info out of them. A year and a half ago my wifes perse got stolen and my sons ss#  was writen down without his last name. now i  have find if someone stole his idenity. hope not

There calling my 7 yr olds cell number, asking for a Linda Parrish, numerous times ive asked them to remove the number, and advised them their calling the wrong number, i dont know any Linda Parrish, Calls keep happening thoe, the last time the lady told me her name was Hilda, and her number was 1-866-800-1472, ext 6062. After advising her of my lawyers number, and name. She said this was the first time she ever called me, she refused to tell me who she worked for.  I RECORDED THE WHOLE CONVERSATION. LEGAL OR NOT LEGAL, SHE CALLED ME SO I RECORDED IT. Im tired of the harrasing phone calls and let her know that.    Im going to ATnT and get the number changed. WHICH COSTS ME , MY TIME, MY MONEY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they called my house looking for my niece and told me it was an emergency, now that i pulled it up to see all this sh--, it makes me mad.  i thought something was seriously wrong with my niece.  i asked them how they got my number and they told me from the phone book.  i asked what his name was and he told me chris adams.  what a joke.  this is no kind of business i would ever have anything to do with.  they are nothing but a buch of f-----g liars

I got a call asking me to call a neighbor and give him amessage to call this no. 866-437-1963. When I asked regarding what? She said it was personal, but he would be happy to hear from her.

They called asking me about my neighbor and trying to get information about him
and want me to give him a message.I told the lady that he no longer live in the next door house and I did not know where he and his family had gone.I just wonder what kind of crap this when a collection agency will herrass the neighbors of someone who has not paid there bills.

They called from this number first; then called fron 800 395 2274 immediately after.

My Caller ID said Operations Division. They left a message looking for my neighbor. Glad I read that they call people's neighbors, trying to recruit them to do their work for them. I doubt they would be paying me for my time, if I decided to do so!

Yea they called and tried to get information little did they know they were talking to an attorney.  No COMMON SENSE ON A BILL COLLECTOR you have to laught they made an a** of them selves.  I don't even have an account with them. They were trying to get a hold of someone in the neighborhood, I had my recorder on

Just get voip and set it to virtual ring it will ring and ring and ring and ring and did i mention ring on their end but not on your end.

The name on the caller ID said Operations Division.  They were calling asking me to put a note in the mail box of one of my neighbors saying to call them. I called the number they gave me to put in the note. A woman answered with GC Services.

This number belongs to a collection agency from Citibank.

1-800-727-5848 -- I received a bill from GC Services, P.O. Box 7820, Baldwin Park, CA 91706, in which they claimed that I owe $$$$$ from a so-called traffic violation way, way back in the 1990s. Then they started harrassment calls using 1-800-727-5848 under the guise of "Superior Court". A simple GOOGLE Search on "GC Services" and "1-800-727-5848" reveals that this company and the people that work for them are LIARS and have a track record of FRAUD. There needs to be a thorough legal investigation of this "GC Services" and "1-800-727-5848" by the appropriate authorities as this type of activity cannot continue by this fraudulent entity.
