These people are idiots. 3 calls and the same moronic stuff. Called the clowns back after they hung up on me. Got some "receptionist" that gave me the line that they make six million calls and that they could trace the call.......blah blah blah..... 1000 meetings a day with business owners who use their services. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. What a load of crap. Any self-respecting business man/woman would not use a company that treats potential customers in a rude manner, even told them so. She took issue with that. Of course, we told her that their abuse of the phone was well documented on the web. Her reply? Can't trust what the web. Hmmmmmm....see the trend here IPA????  Hanging up, rude comments etc seem to be the halmark of this company. By the way, call them collect and see if they accept your call. Probably won't!

I posted some links and my experiences with IPA there.  I haven't been bothered since August 28th.  I made it very clear I know what they are and that I would contact the Illinois Attorney General.  Remember, when they call, they do not know who the owner is - so YOU are the owner, YOU are the boss... give'm hell and have fun with it!

A guy called and asked for the owner.  Caller ID showed 847-808-2301 IPA.  He was rude and said he name was James Johnson.

Called asking for the boss by first name only.  Won't leave message or nature of call, Caller ID came up as IPA with this number.  Next time I'll have fun with her and give her Robin Williams number 444-8111 that he uses in his stand-up.

These people are JERKS. Called 3 or 4 times this week. Told them to stop but they keep calling

Get calls from them daily. This company is a scam.  They are being sued in a class action law suit. The owner John Burgess is a disbarred New York laywer.  Check out International Profit Associates on ripoffreport.com.
They have over 430 complaints with the BBB and they are being investigated by the Illinois Attorney General.  Beware of them and do not do business with them.

My caller said he was calling on behalf of his Boss, Ken Lampster.  Asked for my boss.  I asked what the call was regarding.  He said he did not know what it was regarding - was returning the call from my boss to his boss.  Asked him what he was going to discuss with my boss.  Just said he was with IPA.  I asked what kind of company he was with - said a resource company.  I asked what type of resource.  He said they have over 300 resources and was not sure which resource my boss was interested in.  I checked with my boss - said he did not want to take the call.  I told the caller that my boss will not take the call.  He wanted to know if I knew anything else.  I asked regarding about what??  He wanted to know what else my boss said.  Told him that my boss will not take the call.  He is going to try back - cannot wait!!!

called & asked for the president by name, when asked what purpose, didn't want to say just repeated that she's looking for the president and hang up

I get a call for my boss (by name) and tell the caller he is not in and ask for a name and phone number.  He rudely tells me he has my boss's cell phone number in his car.  I do not give him the cell number.  He tells me he will go out to his car and get it and call and abruptly hangs up without giving me any information I asked for.
Three hours later we get another call asking for my boss.  I ask him for a name and phone number.  This time he tells me his name is Jay Davis and hangs up as I am asking him if my boss has his phone number.
This is a rude person and should be banned from using the phone ever.

First time I got this call, he told me he was calling my boss back. I asked my boss if he knew the guy and he said no, so I knew it was someone I could have fun with. Next time he called back he asked for 'Ron'. I told him to hold on and put him on hold. Another co-worker of mine and I decided to have some fun. He picked up and said, "Hello Don". When the guy went to his speil my friend said, "I think you are looking for Ron, I'm Don." He put the guy back on hold and then I answered. The guy asked right away, 'Ron?' I replied, "No, this is Paul. This used to be Ron's office, but he moved. Let me transfer you to his new office." I put the guy on hold again and my co-worker picked up once more, "Hello Don." The guy replied, "Don't you guys have something better to do than waste my time?" Then he hung up. Looking forward to his next call.

Person called and asked if we sold fish.  No.  Asked what we do.  I tried to explain.  Asked to speak with a colleague (by name) who is actually part of a different company.  I said that the person was at a different # and started to give it to her. She hung up on me.  I called the # on our caller ID back and got International Profit Association.  Receptionist was very pleasant and confused by the call.

Got numerous calls from "Matt" who slurs quite a bit asking our president.  Caller ID showed this number. It was really hard to understand what he was saying.  When I asked him to repeat what he just said, he said "Do you understand English?"  Rude... Even he asked me what we do.  Hopeless.  Do your homework!!  I activated "virtual ring" on this number, but they might use other numbers to get in...

When they called the first time and annoyed me I googled the phone number and this site came up.  After reading through the posts above I looked forward to a second call soon.  Of course, like clock work, it came!  I was sure to reference all of the websites like this calling them out.  He did and said every tactic mentioned on this post.  Here's hoping for a third!

same as above - they called once and hung up, then called back within a few minutes and asked for the owner. i screened the call, asking her name and company, she said she was Sharon, with Dick Wilkinson's Office.  I asked what the call was regarding and she said she wanted to set up an appointment.  I asked the nature of her business and she said "Oh no, I'm more interested in what you do". I explained that I would need to know more before I could transfer the call, she said "Nope" and hung up.  They can't want our business TOO badly, if that's how they handle sales.

He called me 15 minutes ago, spoke to my co worker asked for owner by name and dint leave any message, he wanted to know if the owner will back soon and hung the phone abruptly,

Very irritating, elderly man with a very raspy voice called and asked for owner by name. Told me that he was with a business consulting firm and wanted to see if he could send someone over to introduce himself. When asked what was his purpose was, he merely repeated that he just wanted to shake our hand and say "hi." I told him that we didn't have time in the middle of the business day to speak with him if he wasn't about to disclose his purpose. Then he said "Great, then I'll tell him that 1 PM sounds fine!" and the immediately hung up. After I searched his number on the web and found this site I called then number back. I reached a "receptionist," that was quite friendly but didn't seem to know anything about the source of the original call. I informed her to CANCEL any and all appointments that they had possibly made with our company. We'll have to wait and see if they did!

Person asked for my husband who is also a company owner but he wasn't in.  He wanted to know when he'd be back and I said I didn't know but I was one of the owners and I could help him. He said he'd talked to my husband and he toldhim to call back.  I asked him his name and who he was with and he said Jeff w/ Deal Construction.  My husband said he has never talked to anyone with this name.  The man wouldn't talk to me.  Just wanted my husband.

He called asking for someone by name.  When I told him this person is no longer with our company he asked to speak with the owner.  I told him she was currently unavailable and asked for his name and what company he was with.  He very quickly said he'd called back later and hung up.  After seeing these posts I'll be sure to have more fun with them next time.

Asked for owner by name, I asked who was calling and what company are you with.  Rude woman said my boss asked her to call.  I know for a fact he didn't so I let her sit on hold. After about 2 minutes she hung up and called back.  Told me I cut her off and she told me that my boss initiated the contact, wanting to set up a meeting. She insisted on talking to him, when I told her he would not take the call she said "we'll see about that and hung up".

He said they could refer business to us. Said he was not a broker. Would not answer my questions: What do you do ?
I hung up.

The caller said his boss had been in about a week ago and spoken with the owner and he was calling to follow up. We have a "no soliciting" sign on our door so if the guys boss had come in, he would not have received a warm welcome and would have to be masochistic to want a follow up. After telling him three times that we would not be interested in their service, he hung up. Most likely a scam of some sort and certainly not anyone who we would be interested in doing business with. I am sure he wasn't calling because he wanted to help us in any way.

Called our office in Canada asking for the President.  I suggested leaving a name and callback number - he said that he'll callback and proceeded to callback SEVEN times one call right after another.....

Received phone call from 847-808-2301. The woman asked for my boss but wouldn't tell what she wanted. Caller ID on phone was Intl Profit Association. We have been receiving  quite a few phone calls from this company posing as different companies, etc. Today the woman kept calling back. I told her to stop calling and to take us off her calling list. She called back again using her cell-phone number (U.S. Cellular) and said we lost a customer. Very persistant people.

these idiots call our business at least twice a week and we tell them everytime we dont want their services and to quit calling because they call everyday and they usually just hang up on us when we tell them that and eventually call back again a few days later

Picked up the phone and some guy was cursing and talking like a frog - then he asked for the company president.  When I said that the boss was not around - he hung up.

Called the office asked for boss. Won't leave name and called back again within 3 minutes time. Don't have time to play these games. Told him to leave a message he sounded aggitated and then hung up. Better not call again!
