well, you just missed out on free money. this is a legit company and you are not smart.

they are not a scam. you simply didnt qualify. ive been paid dozens of times by Fieldwork over the years.

They called and DID leave a message... for somebody else. Wrong number. This is my cell and I never give it out. But, yes, it's about a "focus group".

Someone in your household signed up to do market research because they don't just call random numbers.

And the in-home studies are legit.

Hung up, left no message. If this were a legitimate caller, wouldn't they leave a message?

I get so many SCAM calls nowadays that I do not bother answering any call from an unknown caller ID number. That's why I have an answering machine.

There is no such thing as an unlisted number. Companies that purchase telephone number lists or pay the phone company to reveal your number have your telephone number - plus a lot more about you than you know!

Also, computer generate numbers and robo-calling will eventiually capture ALL telephone numbers. The best thing is to not answer any unknown callers. Even better is when there is no answering machine (not possible nowadays) for the computer caller to connect to.

Fieldwork......a market research company that enlists people to do PAID surveys and focus groups.
The company is legit.  If they called you, you have filled out a  form that showed interest in taking surveys.

We got a call from 1-847-983-7900.  She said her name was Iris from Field Works Chicago.  Offered for someone to come to our home, throw a pizza party and pay us and our guests for the party.  Yeah Right!!!  If I get another call I will tell them not to call us again.  I did not talk to them this time.  Not sure how they got out number being it is unlisted.

Not a scam they do focus groups. They call those who join their lists. They then call if your listed when they need people to come in to be in a focus group. They prescreen to make sure you fit and usually have 2 groups with variations. You might fit one thats full so not needed. You go to their corporate building usually anywhere from 90 minutes to sometimes multiple days and then they pay you after your group discussion usually a product or idea. I have used them for 10 years and also few others like Focus Point, Savitz, Aim, and smaller one. Pay for like a 30 minute taste testing is like $65 and some can be up to $3500 for like a week sleep study but on average they run $100-$250 in payment. Sometimes cash other times a corporate check in your name paid same day after the focus group.

Absolutely not a scam.  My husband and I have done several studies though them and have always been paid.  Normally $100 or more.  You don't get paid for a screener, you only get paid if you qualify and you do an online study that is normally and hour or more.  I am sure no one promised them $100 just to talk for 15 minutes.  They told them that it was if they qualified and did the actual study.  They will only call you if you have signed up with them at some point.  If you do get a call from them and no longer want to be in the system, just tell them.

It's a scam!! Promised $100, spent 15 minutes asking questions, then at the end said I qualify, but my group is full.  They just got 15 minutes of my time for free - never again.

It's to a market research company.  At some point did you register with Fieldwork?

Called several  minutes ago, I didn't answer as I didn't recog., they didn't leave a message.   It's a USA#, I'm in Canada.....
