This man named Eric called me today.  He said I was approved for a car loan.  I said I didnt apply for a car loan.  I asked the company name and where he got this information.  He said hello (as if he couldn't hear me).  I said obviously someone has applied for a loan in my name and stolen my identity and He hung up.

I got call from this no# His name is Eric.He said I was approved for a car loan.  I said I didnt apply for a car loan.I don't need a car. then he said ok and hang up.

I have had a call from this number three times in the last two days. I have answered twice and there is silence with no dial tone.

Same thing, Said I was approved for a car loan. When I said I did not apply he hung up.

received 2 calls from this number today, first was answered with a silence and then the next one, left no message...hhmmm.

I got 3 calls from this person within the last few hours.  The first 2 calls I didn't pick up because I'm at work and was in the middle of something.  The 3rd call, I picked up and he asked if he can speak to [my first and last name] and I said "This is she", then he hung up.

This person called and left 2 voice mails he sounded to be asian but I could be wrong.  I most recently submitted my resume at an online jobsearch but dont remember including this number so I am unsure as to where they got this number as I have not been using it for about 4 months and just have it set up to forward voicemails to my other phone.  

Both times he called he left a message saying hello hello could i speak to william hellooo like he was unaware that it was a message that he was leaving.  He must being using an automated outbound system that prompts him when the caller has picked up the phone otherwise he wouldnt leave me 2 messages like that.  I use youmail for my voicemail services and am not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I have been getting 4 calls a day for several days now - luckly, I used my google voice number - now that I know its a spammer, I will just block the number...

I have had 3 calls from this number plus several witg a Vietnam prefix. No response when I answer. I called back but the # is not in service

I missed 2 calls today from this number and answered the third and just silence. When I try to call back its not in service.

There are a few other sites like this that also list the same reports for this number and what do you know they are all from this last week or so. I did find one thing in common with another poster in that we both filled out pay day loans online, and a few others mentioned as above that the call was for a car loan. I was also scammed by a third part that took money from my bank account, so bware because there is a scam going on here with this number and watch what info you give online, I used a legit(or so I thought) loan site and they gave my info to a bunch of 3rd parties.

I get this number calling me like a few times everyday and they never leave a message and since I don't answer numbers I don't know I have no idea who it is!!!

I have had this number call me twice today, I don't answer because I don't recoginze the number.  Then I tried calling it back this afternoon and it tells me my call can not be completed as dialed.  This is the second time he/she has called me today.  Wish someone can find out who it is and make them stop.  It is very annoying.

I've been getting a call from 849 357 55906. They never leave me a message but call me at all hours of the day. How do you make this stop? I tried calling them back but it doesn't work.

NO IDEA WHAT THIS IS - CALLS AT LEAST 4 TIMES A DAY AND NEVER LEAVES A MESSAGE

They called me and i was dumb enough to give them my info. Then I got calls from state farm and for insurance and a dealership for a car. The next day i get a call from a similar number but now they are a debt relief company sounds exactly like the same people. At that point told them to stop calling im on the do not call list they hang up. Since then i recevied many calls they hang up when i tell them do not call, Today however i got there info they gave told me it was www.auto-loans-networks.com of course nothing comes up! How can a company be scamming us like this but still refer us to american companies for qoutes. I would really like to sue, but who do i sue. When i told them this they started yelling at me saying oh am i scarring them! Then i heard people talking before they hung up!!  hope they get what they deserve!!!

Same thing here, 3-4 times a day. I finally answered today, they asked for and of course I said I wasn't home, and the Indian sounding guy on the other end said "uhhhhh" and then hung up.

initially i received calls from 8772076662 and once I posted that number on this web site and joined the no call list I now ger calls from 8495612548.  I refuse to utilize my minutes to answer this call.  Would like to know how to stop or block

September 7, 2009, received four (4) phone calls and one of which I did not answer.  Call was made from sounded like a male with a foreign accent.  He stated my auto loan has been approved.  I told him I did not apply for any loan and to take me off their calling list.  I told him this on the first phone call and each time he called, I gave him the same response.  Finally, I just did not answer.  I reported the number to the do not call registry and I called my cellular service and put a block on that number.  I asked my cell service where this person was calling from and I was told the Dominican Republic.

We had a Middle Eastern man call this morning saying my wife was approved for an auto loan. She never applied for a loan. My wife challenged this man and he finally panicked and hung up on her. These scumbags hide behind a phone and try to scam people. They need to be stopped.

Got 3 calls from this number 1st no answer, 2nd a man asking for me said something about a car loan appoved process. Told him no thanks. 3rd call no answer. Next call will call the phone company and police to complain about a scam.

They have called me about 5 or 6 times already today (Labor Day). Havent answered yet, but I also recieved a message from freecreditreport.com saying changes to my account have been made? I have horrible credit but it is saying I will need to purchase a membership to look at the changes..may have to do that

I got the call this morning (Labor Day) and it was a man (didn't catch his name) and asked for my husband...  since I didn't recognize the name or the phone number (or the area code for that matter!) I asked if I could help him... he said he was calling from Auto Loan Network (could have sounded like otto to you)...  and that it was about an auto loan my husband had applied for...  I know darn well he did not apply for any kind of loan and I told him so...  He was at least kind enough to give me the phone number to call back if I was wrong...It was the same as caller ID...  Now I'm checking our credit stuff to make sure someone isn't using hubby's ID...  but when I google Auto Loan Network, it comes up on ripoffs.com as a scam - trying to get your ID info...

I received three calls from the number the moment I got home. 8:30 am & so forth....And they are so quick to hang up????

LOL typo erra...Make sure you sign on to www.donotcall.gov and register any phone numbers that you don't want any telemarketers calling.

I know I have been getting the same calls, but when I answered no one said anything I just heard a click. But I'm going to be patient & when I finally get someone on the phone. I swear I'm going to curse them the f**k out. Mkae sure you sing up tp the www.donotcall.gov. Do it twice a year.

I also filled out an application for a pay day loan so this must be from that. I just wanted to say they have been calling me non stop since then, early in the morning. If anyone has filled out a loan and then had calls like this be careful and check your bank account, there have been withdraws from third parties from the loan application too and my account is no frozen and under review because I did not authorize the transaction. Once I froze my account, these calls started so my guess is they want to scam me over the phone.

Got a call from 849-561-2548 this morning. Any area code I don't recognize, I look up. So, I proceeded to do as such, and I can't find it anywhere; not here, not Canada, nowhere. So I started to dig a little, and come to find out that there are all these tags on this number. Now, question is, is how does a number have an area code that doesn't exist? Then, how does it come up on caller ID if it doesn't live anywhere on the face of the earth? Just a question.
