got a call from this number on 1/24/14, came up Fort Walton, Fl, 850 area code. I am in 850 area. Like the previous lady, we "had" a VA loan but paid it off a year ago. They must have a list.

Got called on my cellphone.  Same information as above.  I called back and asked them how they got my cell number because I am on the DNC list.   Generic answer was they have a list.  I told them if I want to refinance I would go through my current lender...not interested in cold call lenders. Most are undependable.

This number called and I answered because it is an 850 area code and sometimes my daughter's school calls from numbers not associated with my list of contacts.  They identified themselves as First Veterans calling about my VA loan.  Yes, I have a VA loan but I am not interested in talking to anyone who calls me about it.  I simply stated, I'm not interested and he said thank you, have a good day.

unknown caller - any unknown, private number and blocked on the caller ID gets this same treatment.  Green button.. red button.. shut down before they even try to speak a word.  Any legit business calling would have an identified line.
