I called Sprint. Customer service says this is a third party vendor. Sprint allows them to solicit their customers by text message. Customer service was glad to have such messages stop coming to my number, while still allowing messages from friends. Big fail for nettv5.com in not making it clear this was a free message.

I originally posted this to a different phone number by typo. My apologies to owner of number ending in 29.
Spam text message about
"Watch 4000 Satellite Channels On The Internet For FREE!
Go To:www.nettv5.com"
I Googled their url and found http://whocallsme.com/ I don't trust their phone number or web site to be safe. I plan to call my mobile phone provider to see what they can do.

I received a text from 850-228-7299 yesterday. I did not respond, and I haven't heard from them again. It has only been one day, but so far nothing.

Same as the rest of you, unwanted calls all hours of day or night.

It also depends on the phone. I have a Net10 LG600, and it doesn't show the number until I accept the text and scroll down.
Looks like they've been on a spamming spree considering the recent complaints.

Okay, I texted back "STOP", which is something that's recommended. But to be safe, I also said I've read other complaints and that I'll sue them if they continue. They may as well think I have the money and power to do so.
Hope that solves it. I'll report back if they send anything again. Otherwise, do what I did.

they txtd me twice i ignored them and if you are prepaid like me the number will pop up before you open the txt message (im with tracfone) and you can go into your texts without opening the message and delete it. but im sure it should work for those of you who are prepaid.

These pricks texted me twice today. Once in the morning. If I wasn't awake, they would have woken me up. Not to mention I have pre-paid minutes and I can't tell who's texting me until I accept the text.
Twice in one day is ridiculous enough, imagine them texting me every day. It's hard enough for me to get the money for my minutes, so this is huge cause of concern rather than just annoying spam, because the text costs me money. Going to figure out how to get them to stop sending.

Just received an unsolicited text from them today as well. I'm at a loss as to how they got a hold of my number, so they must be using an autodialer.

Got a text msg from 850-228-7299 about www.nettv5.com free tv or something. I do not release my cell number; I have an alternate landline for release to the general public; and it is registered with the do-not-call list. They must use an autodialer or something. I filed an FCC complaint. It seems like this company has been doing this for sometime based on all the internet complaints found. Looks like they (Jean Mauger) change phone numbers often: 850-524-1787; 850-591-5518; and now 850-228-7299. The complaints date back for a bit. Looks like the FCC is not doing anything to stop them. I invite some of the international hacker groups to take down nettv5.com. Where is the Anonymous or Lulz Security? It would be good PR for these groups to sack nettv5.com. Good hunting.
