The ads are on backpage for all over Florida now. This guy claims to be an ex marine and he saids he's been doing this for over 30 years. He explains that because they hired two drivers who ran off with over $7000 now they require a deposit before you can be hired. The recording explains you have to deposit $930 and that everything is done via Western Union or Money Gram. The number is that I dialed  was 206-200-9999 but in the recording he clearly states "If your fine with the deposit and you can start tonight text the number you just called 747-444-8810. Which is very weird because the number I just dialed was 206-200-9999! I was actually considering this! Thank you for this website and for Google!!

I was called by my son last night regarding this 57 year old man x marine with 2 marines called back to duty not trusting girls been on the job 30 years going to retire in 4 years has businesses all over has 3 partners doesn't want to get robbed by driver so you have to put up money of 900 you get 3 high ite and a fewprofile escorts to drive a night only serious callers need apply YOU MUST PAY MONEY NO IF ANDS OR BUTS IT'S MANDATORY if you want job that is between 12am and 6am......making 400 to 600 a night the girls give you 260.50 per girl per job you just wait in parking lot to take them from job to job...... I SAID NOOOOO SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT'S A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!! You will give up this money and never see or hear from him again...... I had to do my research and found this sIte as well as a few other but this one had the same or similar stories so I thank you for posting and sharing your stories, it saddens me that many have taken a lost thankfully we didn't...... Because of your horror stories was proof enough for me to convince him not to do this..... God saved him last night from heart ache today!!!!!! I also filed a complaint with the FBI!!!!!! But this is probbably the competitin that is losing all the drivers and escorts, as they dont have jobs and comming to my company as we have lots of jobs. And by the way, we don't ask for deposit. Wow... I absolutely amazed that people are still falling for this. Do you people never watch TV or read the news via the newspaper or online? There are stories warning people about this sort of thing ALMOST DAILY! This is a variant of the "Nigerian Prince" scam which has been used for 20+ years! I have never seen a real job that requires the employee to fork over ANY amount of money to start working... let alone such a large amount! You wouldn't give almost $1000 of your money to a random person on the street that asked you for it, would you? So why would you do it to someone whom you've never seen FACE-TO-FACE?!? To the people who said, "Wow I can't believe this person is still operating," ...keep in mind that YOU'RE the reason this is still going on. You've provided this person with the money necessary to keep his business in operation and avoid arrest by law enforcement, and you've shown this person that it is way too lucrative to quit.  And I agree with the above person who commented that you aren't being scammed... you are GIVING AWAY YOUR MONEY!

His company is centered in Dallas. They ask for a $900.00 deposit from their driver. The deposit is less now.

This azz was running the same add on craigslist 7/26/10. I too feel for his scam. He is now using 850-631-0659. He said he was 57 and his name was Tom, an ex marine. Owns 30 agencies across the U.S. He took me for $484.50 with transfer fees. Said to send money to Michael M. Murphy in NC. by money gram@ Wal Mart. Things went smooth until I sent the money then they fell apart quickly. Now the number has a full voice mail box so I can't leave a message or reach him. I know his cellphone is a verizon and he used e/mail address of newmoney455@yahoo.com. Very smooth guy, What chaps my butt is I thought that since I have seen the ads all over in the past 4 years it might be a legit deal, albeit an illegal escort service. I am an going to hunt this guy down and have his sorry azz aressted. If I hadn't been in such bad financial shape to began with I wouldn't have considered the job at all. He is probably guilty of wire fraud due to the wiring of money; most likely money laundering too, tax evasion as well and a multitude of other charges law enforcement can make stick.
