It's a magicJack number.  Probably someone calling from overseas with no idea how the US legal system works.

Seems like you are dealing with some really stupid scammers.  Not only can they not even keep their story straight, they don?t seem to know how things work.  They tell you that someone else took out a loan in your name, but if you pay them (supposedly the IRS) they will give the loan to you (When would that ever be the case?  Even if the loan was real, it would be the issuing company that would decide who it goes to.) and if you refuse to pay them they will penalize you by taking away your Driver?s License (this power belongs to the States not the Federal Government) and put a lien on your home (you don?t owe anything, so there is nothing to base a lien on.)

Got a call from this number saying it was Tom O'Brien from the IRS.(badge #FL1893) They received a red flag on my Social Security number and that someone took another loan out with my Social Security number and  they need info to get it all cleared up. Then asked me to send money to get the  over money taken care of and the over due notice would be taken care of and I could get the loan in question or I would lose my drivers license and have a lean on my home.

Yes this is a scam. They do not let up on calling you. They called 3 times already today & I just let it go to my message.
Do Not ever fall for these scams they are to good to be true .I  think the only way to stop is change your number even if it costs to do so .At least it would stop all this & save you money.

Now this number is being use as a law office scam "Mark"Called and said i was being sued but would not tell me by who.  First of all what law office calls on a saturday.  Then iflag this number in my phone telling me i had a loan. He got made cause i would not let him forward me to an attorney.  So i took him I'll see you in court.

But they look so Christmas-y! All that red. Shill-red I believe, not Fire Engine red.

and he said his name was Eric Hunt

I have been giving money to this company in money paks saying they needed proof that i could come up with the monthly payments for a loan of 3000, the pak was for 270 so i did and gave them the number off the back and they said it would take 20 minutes to go though and to call them back after and they said ok the funds will be deposited into my account shortly but never did so i called them back and they said the bank wouldnt allow them to deposit it and they were going to western union me the money and that i needed to get another money pak for 345 ( like and idiot i did ) and gave them the number then got a call from greendot and they said there accounts are down so the money wont come through until tomorrow. I called the company and they said i need to get another 345 moneypak and that is when i had enough and told them to f*ck off

got scammed, used moneypak for 170 also called local authorites and green dot to investigate.

So you got scammed...well honey if it is too good to be true, it is.

They called me as well. And wanted me to get a money Pak and when i did he had a pretend person to pose as one of my bank associates and tell me there was a transaction fee to deposit the money into my account so i called my bank my self and asked to speak with the person that they had to call me which was a man  and my actual bank supervisior told me they had someone there by that name which was a female. so the supervisor and i called the person from this number on a conference call and he acted as if he didn't know anything about it. Then he told me it would take 21 days to get my money back to me.

They got me too....I don't know how I was so stupid to fall for it. I guess not knowing how the Money Pak cards operated for sure. But yes !!! If I could have the opportunity to see that guy face to face ...!!!

They also got me. I reported them to green dot money Pak and my local police department.

definitly a scam..i got scammed by this number yesterday..took my last 150 and NO LOAN....surprise surprise...guess i wont be so stupid next time

Yes, it is a scam. Unfortunately, they took monies from me by asking for my money Pak  "pin number". Mind you, this is without my card. I was not familiar on how one could use a money Pak card. They rushed me.

They called me and said that they got my loan application amd that I was approved for up to 2000 and needed to go get a 200 dollar money pack and that they would need me to send a picture of the moneypak then they will need me to take a picture of it and send it to them then they will need to call my bank and confirm the funds they are going to transfer into my account then when I mentioned an attorney she got upset and all defensive. Then she called back and left a nasty voicemail accusing me of being a scam artist and a fraud. Saying I defaulted on loans. Mind u I have never gotten a loan in my life. Lol.  She even said she would report me to the sheriff and the. They called me back and she wouldnt say anything. Then when I called back thebphone wouldnt ring. I hope their entire operation is shut down. So red flags are when they need money to deposit and when they needs to confer with ur bank.
