CSI= Collection Services Int'l.
They have a couple of phone numbers-the one calling people the most being: 850-434-3118. They call on behalf of Lab companies, Medical Bills (UWF Hospital, Baptist Medical, Sacred Heart Health, etc) and communications companies like Cox in the local Pensacola, FL area.
(Their "5,000+ customers" just happen to be their CLIENTS that have retained their collection services to have bad debts paid back, NOT the people that they're trying to get $$$ from!)

Called my office and fortunately my admin screened the call, "Ginger Lewis" asked to speak to me about a personal matter and "this is not a sales call". Number is 850-434-3118.  I have some outstanding medical bills so maybe that's what it was about, but.......left no name of the company so I won't be returning the calls.

They calld mi job beside its been eight years done passed now they jus now wantn something when I didnt even receive anything so..., how do u think I'm going to pay for somethin nope not I get it how u live . These people are starkers

A common tactic is to pretend to be collection agencies.

Well some of us weren't born with a silver spoon in our mouth and work very hard to make ends meet.

I got a recorded message on my voicemail from this number from Florida.  I'm not from FL.  The message didn't say who it  was from nor to whom it was referring to. It just said something like, your account is suspended,  to talk to someone dial 1.  You can't press 1  in voicemail,  so I call the number back and I get a,  the number you have dialed is not in service.  As far as I know, I don't  have any suspended accounts. I sense a fraud!  If it happens again, I will research this number, contact the better business bureau, viral details on social networks and block this number!

Got cutoff message that my card was "cut off". Called the number back and it's disco'd.

Unknown phone call asking to re activate on what?

Just got a call from this number on my cell. The first part  of the recorded message had a small glitch that garbled the  first part of the name of the bank. They tried to tell me that my debit card was being held  and  in danger of being canceled and for me to press "1" to talk to the Security department.
As luck would have it, I had a problem with my card at a store two days ago and had to the bank. It turned out to be  problem with the store- not my account.  Needless to say, I did not press "1".

Don't bother with these websites, they produce no results. File your complaints directly with the FCC at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints.

Received a call that my service was cancelled and to press 1 if I wanted to re initiate it.  Did not know what they were talking about so I pressed 1 and got a busy signal.  I called the number and it said "this number is no longer in service.
I would say this is harassment.  We have no overdue bills on anything, the call came thru without an identity(which usually explains the character of these companies). And one is unable to call them to find out if they have the right person or not.

I got a call fron this number at 8:58 this morning.  All it said was "the card has been deactivated press 1 to reach 24 hor security division to reactivate."  Sounds hinky to me.

They only have to stop calling your job - not your home! If you pwe them they have every right to call you up to 3 times a day - but not more than 3 times daily. I am a debt collector and yes...my job sux!

This number called and said my debt card was suspended. Told me to push 1 to fix my card. I'm reporting it to the bank. If this is a bill collector they will be fined.

the merrill lynch calls are a scam. the scammer screwed up and put in a real number. when you call the number you get collection services inc a legit company that has no idea about the message from merrill lynch they believe the scammers accidentally put in their number. don't give anyone your credit card info over a call like this.

Answered and got computer message saying my Merril Lynch credit card had been deactivated and press 1 for securities to get it reactivated, I do not have, nor have I ever had, a Merril Lynch credit card... SCAM??4

this no.850-434-3118 is calling everyday for my daughter who no longer lives w/me.

called again today on my company  biz phone.  it is a collection agency looking for the previous owner of the phone number.  florida hospital collections and i don't live, nor have i been in a hospital in florida.
changing my number.

got this call on my business cel phone the company gave me.   no one on phone when I answered and will not answer it again if i see this number come up.

Just to give you a heads-up.....when a collection agency is rude or demands or even threatens that you will go to jail if you dont pay....you can sue them. They are NOT supposed to act that way. My husband is a collector. You can also demand them to NEVER call you again! They have to stop calling.

some person called my phone would tell me the real name of collect agency told her not to call my number again and less you give me name and address to report to BBB they will take care of this freakin company their are laws for collection agencies. By the way next time they call put a whistle to the phone they want call back

I get calls from this number too and my best guess is a collection agency. what I do with calls like this is put a contact in my phone called "X" and anytime a number like this calls I save it in my phone number contact X. Then i go to contact x and put the ringer on silent (so it doesn't ring) They sometimes leave messages and sometimes not.

by LAW they are required *but don't* to notify you that they are a collection agency.

As to "bob" who commented here If i HAD the money I would pay. I am disabled and live on SSDI and am sick A LOT. I have to use what little money I have on my CURRENT doctor appointments co-pays and do not have ANY left to pay the back bills. If i did I would have paid them!

I get the call from a different number, 850-433-3074 but the message has me call 850-434-3118 to 'retrieve my very important message'. From what other posters have said, this must be some sort of collection agency. However, the message doesn't identify who I would be speaking with or what company left the message. I'm not at all sure what game they are playing, but I'm not playing it.

I have gotten a recorded call from 850-434-3118 several times. People say that they are a Debt Collection Agency. I owe no debts. I believe that something fishy is going on here.

I just called there and spoke with Amanda..I advised her I just received a new number and they are probably calling the wrong number..she informed me it happens all the time. Which I understand the fact that a number that you are given had a previous owner. she was real helpful took my number out and was very upbeat and polite while doing so. Also she had no problems identifying who they were. She answered the phone this is Amanda how may I help you. I asked her what company this was she said CSI. There was no need to go any further since it was just a wrong number. She provided quality customer service. I dont see how anyone has had any problems with this company if that rep had such great service.
