I got a call from Compass Bank, telling me my immediate attention is needed and to call 888 478-5810. I do not bank with them, and this is the second message I received this week from them. I will completely ignore these messages. Honestly, it is pretty tempting to call that number; however, this could be one of those scams where you call their number, and you get charged for an international call @ a few $'s per minute. Please ignore their messages regardless. Some one is out there trying to get us in one way or another.

Text message: Another one, different bank: Please contact HSBC Bank @ 850 688 1022 Exact same message: Your immediate attention is requested. Account At Risk. Act Now Don't have an account with them either.

I just received a text that said "(Please Contact HSBC Bank @ 850 688 1022) Your immedieate attention is requested. Account At Risk. Act Now." I didn't bother to call because I don't bank with HSBC, so it has to be a scam and more importantly no bank would contact a person with a message like this -- your immediate attention is "requested". The text came from 917-364.

mine said HS BC with a space in between. I don't bank there either. I would suggest ignoring it even for those who bank at Compass or HSBC. If it were really important someone would call.

Message I rec'd told me to contact HS BC Bank (note the space between the S and the B) and that "account was at risk", "act now"

Just got the same text. HSBC. I don't have an account with them either. Besides that, your bank would call you directly if there was a problem. They wouldn't send a text for you to call them.

From same phone number (850-688-1022) [From 917-363-55;, but named " HSBC Bank ", I don't bank there, and if the issue was real would expect a REAL person to contact me.

From same phone number but named " HSBC Bank " where I really have one checking account. If it was Compass bank I would ignore it but since they used real bank name that I have account with them...it's scared.

It's now being said it's Compass Bank -- got a text saying my immediate action is required, and I don't bank with them. Yep, it's a scam.
| Michael 2014-05-15 20:54:14 Unknown |
If you call the number an automated system will ask for to dail in your social security number and your ATM/Debit card number. DO NOT give them your information. This is a phishing scam to steal your identity and money from your bank account.
I have filed a complaint with the FCC about this scam.
| Michael 2014-05-15 18:25:04 Unknown |
I got the text message saying to call this number. It said they are Compass Bank.
I do not have an account at Compass Bank.
