Keeps calling my cell, never leaves msg

Received a call from this number this morning.  Did not answer.

I used to work for this company.  They call for Police Benevolent Association, Florida State Firefighters Association, Breast Cancer Society of America, Kid's Wish Network, Fire Fighters Chartiable Foundation, and others.  The actual return that gets to the charity is between 10% and 17% depending on which one it is.  Sadly, like most things, this one is a big scam.  Not only that, but they encourage employees to commit fraud, for instance, saying that the donation is tax-deductable when it is not, saying that their donation is for their local firefighters or police, and lying about the percentage that goes to the charity.  When I was there I overheard many callers lying at one time or another.  The honest callers were usually the ones who were always sent home early and eventually let go, and since everyone needs to eat and pay bills, the dishonesty was rampant at that time and I am sure still is.

They pull your heartstrings by pleading for summer camps for kids who were badly burned or disfigured by fires (no joke, that's what they did for Firefighters Charitable), for the last dying wish of a terminally-ill child, fallen officers and their families, and cancer patients.

I am surprised that the real police and firefighters allow an operation like this to thrive by taking the last few dollars from elderly people that, had they know better, would have gone to their real public servants.  They have maybe ten charities and if you give to one, you get called by them all.  They also operate now under the front name "Community Outreach" when calling for PBA since "Organizational Development" must have earned a bad name.  This outfit claims to be a non-profit while they pocket 83% or more of the money.  If you want to make a donation, give it directly and make sure that NO LESS than 100% of the money goes where it is supposed to, folks :-)

Got a call and noone was there but my voice sounded like a eco chamber. I get alot oh hang up calls from this number and sometimes at 7 am when I am asleep

Got a call from this number. they hung up when answer machine came on. area code says Tallahassee FL. ? maybe a politician wanting my $

you give to too many charties they pass your info along even though they tell you they won't and then strange people just call.  it is wrong bc some charties etc support and others don't but it is the way these companies work.  and because they set up regular state numbers they can not be blocked by do not call lists it is how they get around them; or unknown callers etc.

Got a phone call from this number. The caller did not leave any message.

they are trying to collect money for supposedly the police iun tallahassee   they probably keep 90% of, the money

Caller ID says 8:30 am morning wakeup call was from this number  and listed as from  "Tallahassee FL". I always let early morning calls ring themselves slap silly. Seems the Tallahassee City Attorney might have some interest in solicitors misrepresenting themselves as City government.

they are looking for money. they say its for the state police. i sent them a check for $25 three months ago and they keep calling me for more. dont be a dope like me just hang up. sorry to say they will just keep calling and there is nothing that you can do. maybe change your #

Got a hang-up call from this number and called it back and asked them lots of questions. The number is a Tallahassee, FL number, the charity is the "Florida Police Benevolent Organization". The caller is actually "Organizational Development Inc.", a paid solicitor seeking contributions for a list of about a dozen scam charities. When I called the number back, the representative said Organizational Development's Bradenton, FL office/call center is apparently where the calls originate; their office number is 941-755-1987. The "corporate" office of Organizational Development, Inc. is in West Palm Beach: the number I got off the net is 561-863-1037.

Demand to be put on their "Do Not Call" list but be sure to tell them you want to be put on the DNC list for ANY AND ALL of the charity and political organizations "Organizational Development" solicits for.

My mom would donate to them but she died a year ago. I have told this to them repeatedly and to take me off their list. They continue to call a minimum of three days a week. I ignore them now. They are not worth my prepaid minutes. I am on the Do Not Call list.

Received call on landline around 3:30pm Eastern. They did not leave a message.

You MUST tell your congressmen/senators you want new laws with NO exemptions from do not call.  Especially tell them that in public hearings.  No means no, none.  Not these tax-dodging churches nor law enforcement and especially not political.  Legitimate university(not religious university)-sponsored demographic research... maybe.  US Census.... maybe. But NO political or charity.  We'll give to the ones we want to support when we want to support... and we can find them, they don't need to find us at dinner and the day we wanted to sleep late.

I don't answer if I don't see a name for caller ID. Now that I know who is calling, I'll ask them what color their underwear is....that should get them off the line in a hurry!

Repeated calls  on caller ID. I don't pick up if I don't know the name.

I NEVER PICK UP, AND NOW I KNOW WHO IT IS, I WON'T EVER PICK UP.  I CANNOT STAND THESE TELEPHONE SOLICITORS THEY CALL FROM EARLY MORNING TO LATE AT NIGHT.... DO NOT CALL LIST DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE HELPED MUCH, SO MUCH FOR GOVERNMENT.  JUST ANOTHER THING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT.

police benevolent org. i sent them a check for $25 three months ago and they keep calling me anyway. i told the person i already gave and please dont call again. they keep calling me anyway. all i can say is just pick the phone up and put it on your table and then hang up after a some time goes by. if you realy want to have fun talk there ear off. i do that sometimes when i have nothing to do. i get a kick out of it.

They keep calling, I do not answer.

It took 5 tries calling the number and got through. Of course it is the Police Benevolent Org. If you get through to them, just give them your number and they will remove it within a couple of weeks. Even the FCC says that's the best that can be done. Good Luck!

Received a call from 850-868-9115.  He won't answer right away. When he said he wants a pledge or a donation I hung up right away.

I thought we had anti-solicitation laws!

Receiving continued calls from this number.  A fundraising company using the FL highway patrolmen's benvolent association.  

Will pursue if calls continue.
