We don't have TWC in the area that I live in. So why call me?

It is most definitely time warner.  I called the time warner number on the website and they are supposed to remove me from the calling list.

ON THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST - TIME WARNER LEAVE ME ALONE!

Nope! Tell them you will be shopping around for another provider and that your next call to them will be to cancel the service in the next few days  They will then try to keep you as a customer and will send you to their "retention department" where they will work to offer you a nice savings package!!!  
Be firm with them and be ready to cancel should you need to.... USUALLY it never goes to that extreme though!  GOOD LUCK!!!

This number shows up on my caller i.d. lots of times.  I don't answer when I don't recognize the number and they usually don't leave a message.

You're right, but I think they have some fine print in their terms of service saying that we consent to receive calls from them.  So, it is annoying but probably not illegal in this case (unless they are calling people who are not their customers).  Maybe they should have used an autodialer to tell everyone about the new $4/month modem fee, instead of just tacking it onto the bill without any notice?  That would have been a better use of this technology.

How do you get a promotion each year? My internet went up to $55 when the current promotion for that speed is $30. I called to ask if there is another special I could get on and the lady told me that "Time Warner Cable has been MORE than gracious to you with your first special and you can never have more than one promotion in your lifetime unless you have someone else sign up with a new service at a different address."  She told me she has worked there for 20 years and no one has ever gotten more than one promotion in their lifetime.  She used the phrase, with emphasis, "MORE than gracious to you". My aunt tells me she has paid the same price for her pakage for over 5 years because she calls the manager and has a 20 minute argument until they give her the deal. But I asked for a manager and the lady told me I couldn't speak to one.

Illegal to call a cell phone with auto dialer without express permission due to TCPA. They should stop before people file FCC complaints (easy to do on FCC Web page)

It's Time Warner Cable - probably a solicitation call. My cable bill just went up $11 this month so maybe they're trying to keep me from switching! (Area code 816)

As a side note, if you are already a Time Warner customer, calling them once a year and compalining about your bill and ask about any special promotions helps, as I have saved with the exact asme service, by having them put me on their current promotion, which usually last a year at a time, depending on the promo.

Yes it appears to be an autodialer system promoting Time Warner Cable/TWC products and promotions.

Basically, the reason there is no message is because the autodialer only sends calls to people who answer the phone, Think of it like a computer with a switch that routes calls to operaters, when someone answers the phone, they are sent to an operator.  If not, it hangs up.

Also if you pickup the phone and don't say anything it likely won't route the call to an operator.

Calls every day while I'm at work but never leaves a message. This has been going on for over a week.

I received a call from this number during July 2012.  It was from the Humane Society looking for a donation.

This number called me almost every day around 11:00am/12:00pm ET timeframe.  No message is left.  Annoying!

I actually called the number back and it truly is TWC!  Promotions department!  I mat subscribe to them, but I don't need them calling me for that!  If I want something, I will call them. I haven't gotten any good promos from them since first signing up with them.

I got a call from this number today, July 24th, but did not answer it.  They did not leave a message.  I see the post that some think it is TWC.  If it is TWC, why not leave a message? I have no idea who this is calling.
