I am getting the same call from someone claiming to be Comcast, sounds like she's reading a script and fumbling over the words. Without me even contacting them to arrange an appt or inquire about "the issue" multiple people from different local numbers from "ACI" have called, every day, even Sunday, to set up a time to "get those wires replaced for you". My internet has been fine. This is clearly a scam.

Got a call from 855-213-5774 caller ID shows CMCST CBL. They left a message stating they want to send a tech out because they noticed an issue with our service. Within 5 minutes got a "restricted" call showing no phone #. This Number is NOT affiliated with Comcast.If you do a reverse look-up of this # it does not exist. I do not have any issues with my service. This # is a scam. If you get a call from this # report it to Comcast. If anyone shows up at your house unexpected stating they are with Comcast - call Comcast to verify, and the police!

Well, my shampoo blow dryer says otherwise.  And you remember what Abraham Lincoln said about the internet?  "Trust, but verify."  That's how he found out that Alexander Graham Bell chopped down his cherry tree.

The 855 service code is merely another code added by cooperation of the North American phone companies and regulatory agencies to expand the number of available toll-free numbers.  "855" numbers are in every respect just like 866, 877, 888, and 800 numbers.

We received the same message.  The internet lists the 855 exchange as a telemarketer.  We called Comcast.  They told us to contact the police.  Trying to sell something over the phone is not illegal.  Attempting to gain entry into your home under false pretense is fraud.

This same # also called me. Even stopped by my home wanting inside my house to check my modem/wireing saying there was a problem with the signal from the modem. I thought it was strange for him to stop by with no comcast clothes on, no phonecall/appointment. I followed up with comcast....not a problem with my modem/internet signal and this # is not affiliated with them at all. Neither was the guy. They assured me they would send the info to their security invesigation team and this isn't the 1st time this same # has been reported to them.

A message left on my voice mail about loose fittings or cables and that a technician would come at no charge to me for 1-1 1/2 hours to check out a potential problem.  I have not really been having any problems.  Scam?

I have not received any phone calls, but did receive a flyer on my front door asking to please call Comcast to schedule an appointment because they determined that the cable wiring for our home did not meet their performance standards...I'm suspicious because there is no Comcast logo or other identifying information on the flyer - very plain white card with 855-213-5774.

I just received a similar call and let it go to voice mail.  They said it was Comcast and they detected a weak signal to my modem.  They want to send out a free technician to check my wiring.  Since when does Comcast want to do anything for free.  They did not leave me any return contact information (name, phone number).  I too am suspicious.

Got the same call from "comcast" stating they wanted to check my modem. They stated that there have been issues with slow service in our area. I am a bit suspicious as Comcast is not known for being pro-active with service.

So yea i kept getting a phone call from this number and they left some voicemails, apparently they are from comcast saying that there is a signal leakage. Did anyone else get that?
