Debt Collector
Try calling the person back and pretend you're with a collection agency. Tell them they have an outstanding debt that needs to be paid before the matter goes to court. Of course, do this from a pay phone if you can find one.

They use different scripts.  Check them out on my blog.  Your dad can file a complaint with the FTC and so can you, and you can sue. Soon my family will be suing once we pick the correct lawyer.

Please visit my blog at stopnandg dot blogspot dot com.  The more details I can get about this "company", the better!  Also, you should report the calls to the Attorney General if you live in NY or the FTC if you do not live in NY.

Please visit my blog at stopnandg at blogspot dot com.  If you live in NY, you should file a complaint with the Attorney General.  If you do not live in NY, you should file a complaint with the FTC.  Your sheriff was a good start, but the agencies who can shut these guys down are the ones listed above.  Keep records of when they call and what they say.

My wife got a call from Nichols and Grant last week at her job. They told her that they were going to freeze our banking account because we owed money from a company that we never heard before. They said they were going to serve papers to my wife job for a court hearing. we called them back and ask them questions on what they are doing. The man was very rood and hung up the phone. Its a scam!!! I cant beleive these people can get away with this stuff.

Send me an email.  I am looking for similarly situated people so I can get a class action.  They harassed my family -- even called a neighbor and told them to cross the street and have my dad call them back.  Pretty much everything they say is illegal.  You can have your lawyer email me too if that makes you more comfortable.  My email is stopnandg at gmail.

You should also report the phone calls to the FTC.  You should also report this to the state attorney general of wherever you live.

Send me an email and I'll explain what you can do.  I'm hoping to find enough people to form a class action to sue them.  You can also file a complaint with the FTC.  In fact, you should.  I am at stopnandg at gmail.

They are never going to travel to your work to collect a $100 debt.  Real debt collectors are professional and polite; that is how they get legitimate business from banks and other companies. These people are trying to scare you, and what they are doing is illegal.  You should report the call to the FTC, and if you want, you can email me at stopnandg at gmail. I am looking for a class of people who have been harassed by these guys, because they are harassing my family and I want to shut them down for good.

It does not matter if you have debt.   Real debt collectors follow the law.  These people do not.  You should not be ashamed to have debt and you should not be harassed by con artists like Nichols and Grant.  Send me an email at stopnandg at gmail if you want to share the details of what they said.

Also, report them to the FTC.

File a complaint with the FTC.  You can also email me -- I am going to hire a lawyer because these people are harassing my family.  If I have more than one example of who they are calling, it will help me take them down for good.

Nichols and Grant LLC is not registered in NY, which is where these guys are calling from.  They change business names and addresses a lot.  my email is stop n and g at gmail

Debt Collector
I have been getting these calls for years at my WORK.  Though the new message that I just got (the same bank message as above).  I know this is frauduent because they used a name from before my divorce 3 years ago!   But no matter what, they won't stop calling.  They will stop for a few months and then start again.  It's embarassing to have to tell my co-workers why they are calling and try to convince them that I'm really not in trouble that it's a scam. The owner of the company even threatened them with a restraining order and they still won't stop.  But of course a restraining order is only good if it can be delivered. Oh well.  Just ignore them.  They can't do anything to your bank accounts and they sure can't have you arrested!
