Actually, the callers are the fraudsters - many people are being harassed and told they owe money when they either never got a loan, or if they did, it was paid off.  So before you go calling people deadbeats, you might think about the fact that this "company" is in gross violation of federal law - they harass people who do not owe them money, they refuse to stop calling, they refuse to mail proof of debt, they refuse to give their company name and a mailing address, they threaten people with lawsuits and arrest.  In other words, they commit so many violations of the FDCPA that they will end up paying through the nose to alleged debtors who sue THEM.

New Fake scammers numbers 855-657-8586, 855-326,4816 and now they call restricted when I block them. Recently stupidly went on line trying to get a personal or payday loan about 2 weeks ago. Since then I have been getting these threating call most recent July 11, 2013 from Kendra somebody stating I had been served and a summons would be coming out to my house within 48 hrs. When I didnt respond I got another call from a gentleman who didnt reveal his name stating on July 15 when I got the call by July 17th 2013 today. I would be getting a summons from the courts served and not to have any big dogs or weapons on the property when he came to serve me. I returned the call and got a personal cell phone with very little information just stateing Security Bureau Systems. When I reverse phone looked it up. It didnt exist. Got a call back from the same number this morning stating SHE not he had noticed I called and if I wanted to settle the debt I should call her immediately. What debt? I applied never recieved anything from anyone. I am in the United States Army currently and I am reporting these calls the FBI and whoever else will listen. This is ridiculous for people working hard every day just to be scammed because someone else doesn't want to work hard every day. Ridiculous. So people please be aware!

   I just got another call from this # 855.676.2522, the same type of call, same phoney practice, they swich phone #'s in hope that no one will catch on. MORONS~!!

My brother-in-law received a call stating that my sis/i were names in a fraud case...and they left a case # and their name, Anna Berg. I am glad I read these comments first - this is the latest and greatest SCAM.

I've been calling back and harassing these guys all day... lol. If anyone has an email address for them or has gotten an email from them... PLEASE POST the email header. If they're not smart (and it's obvious they aren't) we can track their IP address and at least get a general location where this scam is coming from. Who knows if it's even in the U.S. though my people spoke perfect english. The FTC would also be able to subpoena their ISP and find out exactly who it is. However, as we all know... they shut down one and two more pop up.

UPDATE:

I finally got through to someone. The first person asked for my case number and placed me on hold. Another person answered and she began rattling off numbers about how much I originally owed, how much it is now with interest and legal fees, that they tried to settle with me for half, blah blah blah. She then asked how I'm going to pay this off. I explained my situation and that I couldn't pay. She then said I could either pay now or they're going to sue me for $1500 and charge me with check fraud. I asked her for their address so my lawyer could contact them, then she said "No need, we'll see you in court." and hung up on me. I called back and spoke with a different person. I simply said "I'm told I have a debt with you and need your address so my lawyer can send out some paperwork." he said, "Your lawyer can call the number you called." I told him the gig was up, I knew this was a scam, their law firm doesn't have a website, they won't give out a mailing address, the courts have no record of the "papers" they supposedly tried to serve me and there was no court date. I let him know that I and others have already reported their fake firm to the FTC. He then hung up.

In my case, the debt they're talking about is valid (but anyone with access to my credit history would know that), and I legitimately can't pay. However with their shady practices, I wouldn't send these people a nickel. If in the 1% change they are legit, they're gonna have to write this one off.

I received a call from this number... ditto to everyone else's comments. The call came across as blocked but I have the exact transcript from the voicemail they left...

"********* *********** this is Jonathan Stuart calling on behalf of the county legal services, it appears we do have you scheduled to be served some legal documents at your physical address, if you are not there at the time, they will be escorted to the place of employment. ********** you do need a picture identification picture ID to sign and appear on the dates. For any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the claim office directly. Their number is (855) 216-1657. Your case number is **********. *********** *********, I must advise you. This has been your legal notification."

Only thing I have to add is as many of you did, I checked the website for the ONLY county I've lived in for the past 20 years and they have NO records of a court date set for me and a voicemail can not be "legal notification" of any kind. Also I'm unemployed so obviously he knows nothing about me besides my name and phone number or he wouldn't say, "...they will be escorted to the place of employment."

I tried calling today and got an answering machine asking me to leave my name, number and case number. I'm going to keep calling until I get a human just so I can harass them back.

I once used a free service called TrapCall that revealed blocked numbers, however that was a couple years ago. I checked now and they only have paid accounts. I'd be curious to see where he's actually calling from.

Same thing happening here. RUDE jerk using name Thomas Castle from Wymon & Foster calls demanding payment for non-existent collection case. Swears that it is fraud and threatens to come to my home and haul me away. As If. I told him if he shows up at my place tomorrow he had better have an army with him if he thinks he's taking me anywhere! I also informed him that the moment that I hang up I will be reporting his sorry *** to the FTC, so he had BETTER not contact me again. And I did. People- never give your information to anyone who calls you. Period.

Same here - called from W & F Capital, didn't identify himself or me, just said a file came into his office and it was IMPORTANT that I should call back with SSN for identification.

This company called me asking for Robert Gum. Someone named Robert Gum has used a phone number I've had for over 15 years to borrow money. This is a debt collector. Their voicemail was assertive, I would not call it aggressive. Stating that Robert Gum's legal charges so far are malicious intent, providing false information (like my phone number), and so on. I called them back letting them know they had the wrong phone number, this person clearly provided more false information. They were very cooperative and updated their system and apologized to me. Haven't gotten a call since.

I think these professional fraudsters are simply using random people's information when borrowing money or who knows what else and we're victims of circumstance. This company is simply doing their job and trying to reach the criminals, little do they know the criminals gave false phone numbers.

A man from this number left a voice message stating that a "file" showed up in his office that I needed to call about...and to have my social security number available....obviously, I didn't call him back...

I received a call from this number stating that he had received a file across his desk and that I needed to call and have my social security number ready for identification. I am going to call the company in the morning he is saying that he is from wf capital and that I need to contact him right away. Right after I call him I am going to call the fed trde commission

I just received a call very similar to Missy's.  I didn't recognize the number and wasn't expecting any calls, so I let it go to voicemail.  The male caller never identified himself, but claimed to be representing W & F Capital.  He never mentioned the name of the person he was trying to get ahold of.  He was very vague as to the purpose of his call, only stating that a "file" had come through his office and it was very important that I call back to discuss it.  He also requested that I have my SSN ready "for security purposes."  It was all very suspicious and just screamed scam, so I Googled the phone number and ended up here.

I got a call from a guy on 3/16/2013  talking legal matters. he sad his name was timmothy davis, and he was coming to serve me papers stateing that i commited fraud. which is not true. i might owe on credit cards. but he sounded very serious. and he sad if i wanted to make arrangements to call this number (855) 216-1657. but i'm going to keep it real with you all. my heavenly father is my protector, and know weapon from against me will prosper. jesus is my savior.    your not alone my may god bless you all.

Yes, people who don't like to be harassed about debt that may or may not be legitimate (probably isn't), may or may not be owed by them, and want their rights upheld are soooo spoiled. It's easier to pay one's bills when a con artist hasn't drained one's bank account.

I received a call from a woman named Liz this morning at work. She stated that they had video surveillance of me entering a payday loan store and that they would be having me arrested for fraud if I didn't pay her over a thousand dollars. I was a debt collector for about 2 1/2 years, so I know the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act like I know my birth certificate. She failed to state the mini-miranda law that requires collectors to inform a debtor that it is an attempt to collect a debt and any information collected is for the purpose of collecting the debt. I calmly stated that she was not to contact me at work. She pushed me for a phone number and I politely told her that I didn't have one at this time, but to give me a number to call back and I would call her after I got off work. She gave the number 855-216-1657 ext 107. I asked the name of the company, she stated it was WF Capital. I googled the number she gave me and this site was the first thing to pop up. I read all the posts and decided to make someone up there sweat. I immediately filed a complaint with the FTC. I called the number back to get a mailing address. The guy who answered the phone told me his name was Chris Jacobs. I asked again the name of they company, he said it was Wyatt and something, I asked him to repeat and he began to grill me on who I was and what I was calling about. I stated I had been contacted by someone at this company, was given the number and extension and I was simply researching the company before I decided what to do. He transferred me to some woman's voicemail, so I hung up and called back. The second time I reached a man who identified himself as John Michaels, and said that he was the owner of the company. I informed him of the call I had received, the failure to mirandize me, and the threat of arrest if I did not comply. I advised him of my extensive knowledge of the FDCPA as well as the Graham Leach Bliley Act, and that his agent was in gross violation of federal law. He quickly began kissing my @$$, and said that as of that moment, my debt with them would be considered paid in full, and that the agent who called me would be terminated. If you get a call from these people, be polite, do not give them any information such as an address or phone number, get their contact information, and file a complaint with the FTC. Read the FDCPA and GLBA and educate yourself on your rights. Debt collectors must inform you that they are attempting to collect a debt, and any information obtained is for that purpose. They are not allowed to mention any kind of legal action or state that you will be arrested/imprisoned for not paying the debt. They cannot misrepresent themselves as employees of a legal firm or an attorney. They cannot threaten to sue you. Only the original creditor can sue you over a debt, and if they sell it to a third party agency, they lose that right. Third party debt collection agencies are not allowed to sue you, ever. Knowledge really is power.

I got a call from an unknown number asking for my mom then asked for me.  I didn't give him info so he wouldn't tell me where he was calling from other than it was a fraud matter.  I hung up on him but he later called my dad and left a message asking for a return call to 855-216-1657 the name was either Ken Davis or Ben Davis.

This company called me three times, the same person but using different names. They told me that they are calling me from my home town county superior court legal services and that I needed to call for arrangements and if I don't comply back, I will be served for fraud checks. Ive never been fraudulent They also said they have all my info, address, and ss#. What type of county services will call regarding your information? Seriously, they wouldn't even call you. They would of came and just serve you. These people are low life bi****s trynna take money from us hard working people. They deserve to die n rot in prison and hell. I hope u get caught bi****s.
