I live in AZ, I got the same thing.Got a voice mail from a lady saying they're gonna come to my house or place of employment to serve me a summons. She left this number and a case #. So far nobody's showed up. Seemed weird that they'd warn me of a summons coming if I didn't respond. Thought I'd search the number and found this. Has anyone actually had these people show up?

Voice message left on my phone saying it was warning that my son would be summoned to court either at place of employment or home address regarding bad check. Said because could not be reached today, papers would be filed with court today. Gave this number to call as an attorney's number and a case number. All this information was left on my voice mail. Son does not live with us. This is clearly violation of privacy laws. To my knowledge my son doesn't write checks. Any suggestions on what to do?

Wow...i live all the way in Florida and the same people that called you also called me, same names.

This is the same person that they told me to call. The man that called my job said he is a process server and he left a message with a co-worker and told her that I was going to have charges filed against me with the county clerk if i didn't respond.
What state do you live in? I live in Florida.

I just received a similar voice mail message on my work line. Vera Clayton is my "process server". The messages (above) that indicate this is a scam is absolutely correct. She said she was leaving the message for someone in administration but then proceeded to disclose information with my name. The voice mail greeting does not have my name on it. This is clearly a violation. I just won a settlement for this very type of harassment. So miss Vera, please go ahead and call my HR and disclose this information, your company will also be paying me $1000 along with $2500 in attorney fees! I have an awesome Fair Debt Collection Attorney!!!

These crazy people are calling my job telling HR that they are a processor server and trying to reach me. They left the number 1-855-226-7389 and a case number. This is some mess....if I have written some bad checks, why haven't the bank contacted me??? I'm not a fool. The man name was Manny Strong.

I received the same call from an unknown number but they left this number to call back. The caller was Dawn Meechum and said she was a process server in my "local county"! I don't write checks so I can't have any bad checks. Thanks for the info, I will ignore.

This folks are violating the FDCPA by leaving messages for people on voicemails that do not identify the party to which they wish to speak. They threaten and harrass. All are violations of the FDCPA.

Gosh, I messed up that last sentence a bunch. It should read "A scared man/woman runs faster than someone who takes the time to investigate. But its Still A Big Scam.....
Please, don't anyone fall for this. They are just going to take your money.
don 2012-12-07 16:47:56 Unknown
Folks...these people are scammers. No court appointed or authorized server will call anyone in advance to warn them that they are on their way out to serve them a summons. If you will take a few minutes to do some reading on all of the posts on this board, you will find many, many people who get these calls and the exact same threat. They want to scare you into calling the 1-855 number, in a panic, and then they will offer you a $$ Deal to stop the server and make the whole thing go away. And, they will have you get a Walmart prepaid debit card or similar, obviously to cover a paper trail. They work on the principal that a scard man/woman runs faster than womeone who takes the time to investigate. Its a Scam.......

Has anyone actually gotten served?
dallas county 2012-12-04 23:46:52 Unknown
Any body find out if this is a legal entity or some bill collector's trick? They said process server in
''your local county" instead of Dallas County. You'd think they know what county they are serving for. Called me on 12/3.
wtf girl 2012-12-04 16:19:19 Unknown
Did you call back? I got the same voicemail. its kind of scary.
mike 2012-11-30 15:48:10 Unknown

Denise 2012-11-28 20:33:37 Unknown
They called my cell and said that they were going to have me served with a summons.
