Just canceled my WSJ Wine Club membership this week after receiving a few deliveries. It's an okay and tasty deal, but I'm single and have more wine than I can store or drink. The fact that they are calling me after a few days (or ever) is ridiculous that solidifies me not ordering from them again.
WSJ, you just cost yourself future sales.

Wine is fine, but telemarketing overly aggressive. Don't give them your details.

No answer, no message. Reported.

Cancelled Zagat Wine Club 3 days ago and now I'm getting daily calls from this number. They don't leave a message.

Wall Street Journal Wine Club? Geez - I wouldn't trust anything that right wing rag sells. Another reason to ditch the land line....
Law Office 2013-02-21 22:39:31 Unknown
Yes, they do they here daily. Today I had three calls.
I am going to call the Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau.
Someone gave me a name of Adrian Betham in Montoursville, Pennsyvania as
President????

WSJ Wine calls daily from this number and hangs up when I answer. I have had
three calls today and I have even called them over the last few weeks to ask them
to stop calling this Law Office and hanging up and to take off the call list. I even have
the people's names that I have talked to about the problem and now I get like today 3
hang ups. They don't say anything and then after a minute or so they hang up.

Ordered wine as a gift & now they are using up my minutes calling me? I don't have any orders or subscriptions, so they are trying to sell something!

SWino club ...
Guess they're hoping to get you when your a little tipsy, prone to talk, and dish out your credit card number.
15 mediocre wines for $60 and then they bother you for the rest of your existence. If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Called, left no message. If it is WSJ wines that is very interesting because I just cancelled my membership with another wine club.

You wouldn't know the difference in a blind taste test!

WSJ Wines called at my place of employment and disconnected when I answered the phone.

Cancelled WSJ yesterday. Pretty sure this is the second time I've cancelled. If they send another package I'm considering it a gift. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/general/gen06.shtm

I got two missed calls from this number last week with no message left. I had cancelled my quarterly shipment of wine the week before.

Wall street Journal wine company. I bought my mom a case for christmas last year and then canceled the membership after that. They proceeded to send me another case at my expense. I complained, got a refund, and got the keep the wine. It''s tasty stuff but i'm using it to cook with out of spite.

You get what you pay for or less. There are not miracles. The WSJ offers are in the the sub $10/bottle range and that is how the wine tastes. It is not a bargain IMHO.
CMeyer 2011-06-06 21:04:58 Unknown
WSJ Wine was so horrible I told these guys to put me on their DNC. It was basement wine that couldn't be sold anywhere else.

Their "malbec and more" offering was wonderful. We enjoyed every bottle we opened. Try Geerlings & Wade, they are OUTSTANDING!
Steeli 2011-06-06 21:04:58 Unknown
Agreed.. Not "basement" wine but basically an easy way to try a variety of bottles in the 10-15 dollar range (with some, slightly nicer exceptions). Can be hit or miss but the same goes for the 10 dollar rack at my local grocery store...
pablo 2011-06-06 21:04:58 Unknown
I wouldn't call it basement wine, but it certainly isn't top notch either. I've found it drinkable at least and different from the boring lot that resides at the grocery and liquor stores.
rallen 2011-06-06 21:04:58 Unknown
I've asked to be taken off the WSJ wine club call list twice and it hasn't worked yet. Today I submitted a violation report in an attempt to stop them.
blmille 2011-06-06 21:04:58 Unknown
I have been very impressed with the quality of each and every bottle of wine I have received in my shipments. Surprised to read your post.

I just got a missed call from this number too (no message left) and like others on here had recently cancelled a WSJ Wine subscription.

Ron Leven 2011-01-30 19:30:05 Unknown
I "signed up" for the Do Not Call List lat year (2010). I have 200+ names and numbers in my phone book. I don't answer calls if a name does not come on my screen so I don't know who called. No message left
cr 2010-12-21 17:56:53 Unknown
Call - no message. I see it's WSJ Wines. I did one order from them. The delivery was so difficult, I never bothered agaon (I think this is true of all mail order wine). I receive emails from WSJ Wines all the time - this is the first call.
GWM 2010-11-19 15:25:21 Unknown
Another unsolicited call/no message. I sent them an email nicely asking them to cease. Hopefully they will honor the request.

I also received call, but since I didn't recognize the number, didn't pick up. No message left. Hey, WSJ, if this continues, I will cancel my subscription too. I don't endure sales calls, especially since I have been getting more and more "offers" from them through the mail and online.
