I have been receiving phone calls for almost a week from these people, 4 sometimes 6 times a day. Every time I answer they wait a few seconds then hang up! Its infuriating! I got curious and called the number back and the automated message says there some marketing company, then they ask if you would wish to put your number on the "Do Not Call List". I know this is a scam, I've had it happen before with my business. You enter your phone number into the list and with that information, somehow, they can access your phone and use it and run your bill up.

Recvd call from this number on my cell phone at 5:50am local time, caller hung up as soon as I answered, how annoying!  The Do Not Call law is such a joke, companies are not supposed to market to cell phones ever, nor to land lines registered on the DNC list, but they do it anyway with virtually 100% impunity. I gave up reporting these law-breakers to DNC website years ago, FTC does nothing to help offer any recourse to an aggrieved consumer.

Several calls from this number with no sound and then a quick hang up. how do we block these time suckers?

Just call your credit card company and tell them you lost your credit card, they will have to cancel the card and issue you a new number which cannot be charged by the old company.

I get several calls a day from this number, starting around 9 am EST.  I never pick it up because the caller ID shows "Unavailable."  The caller never leaves a message on our answering machine.  I'm reluctant to phone them and give them my phone number.  Who knows how many other sleazy companies they'll sell my number to?  Is there no way the US Government can shut these people down?

I got the call, too. They were on the line so I spoke to them. They are from E Bridge. They pressured me for me Credit Card number to list my Google listing higher. So, far they have made charges of $1203.66, $4879.01, $539.44, and  $700.60 in less that a week and my Google listing is still no higher. Visa will not cancel the charges because they are authorized. I cannot even cancel the card because of fiture holds on the account. Today, I received a bundle of "underage Russian s**t" pornography. Yes, the girls appear underage and very, very kidnappy underfed and lost. In several pictures, the girls are being beaten with sticks and whips. Really disgusting!!!!!

Received 8 phone calls between 11-09/11 and11-11/11. All phone numbers that appear on our caller ID are recorded for business purposes. This is a waste of time.

Yes, they call here all the time too. I don't really care bc I never answer the phone , i prefer to call everyone back after Ilisten the the purpose of their call. so these people can call all they want they will never reach me. The only thing annoying to me is that after a bunch of calls I will look up the number to see if it's The Millionaire with my check or Publisher's Clearinghouse with my winnings.
But alas, it's neither & I thank you all for doing the legwork . I like this service 800 Notes. I've used others and they're not nearly as helpful as this page. Take care & try not to get too worked up - as long as you don't feel threatened. Sometimes thives will call numbers to see who's home and when, a form of "casing the joint" but it's not likely in this case.

They called our business too. Thick accented guy claimed to be from Ebridge saying that we'll be listed in Google Yahoo and AOL business listings and need our contact info.  He knew the name of my boss and our business address.  He claimed to be a local business search engine.  I transferred him to my boss who told me never to talk to people from "call banks" claiming that we advertise with them because we don't. He wasn't sure how it might be a scam, but my boss hung up quickly on them.

Been getting several calls a day from this number. The one time I picked up, by accident, there was no one there. I assume it's some shady unethical process of gathering information for the purpose of fraud or manipulation. There are several such mystery callers on my phone in the past five years.
I too normally don't answer unless I know the number or hear a person leaving a legitimate voicemail. Interesting times  we live in!!!

They call my business at least 1-2 times a week.  I'm getting REALLY annoyed at telling them I'm not interested in whatever it is they're selling or promoting.  Gonna report them to the Do Not Call List.

The do not call list doesn't work... I guess I am going to have to get rude with them~ Oh well I tried being nice.

After reading prior comments I called back the number, a woman with a heavy accent answered the phone said this is Valentina. Mostly likely of Indian Decent! Said it would take 72 hours to process the request. We shall see! If not I am going to scream. ... This is very annoying!

This is the second or third time this has happened. I manage a Storage Facility. I answer then after 10-15 seconds they hang up! They don't answer or say anything! This is getting horrible annoying! I mean atleast have the decency to say that you have the wrong number.

Yet AGAIN these idiots called (@ 1041 hrs) this morning.  This time, the guy's accent was so thick, I couldn't understand what he was saying.  I asked him to repeat where he was from and I still couldn't understand him.  It sounded something like E-Bridge but I really have no idea.  The minute he got to the "Your business has been chosen for--" I blew the whistle in his ear.  How brain-dead are these idiots?!  Do they really think that if they keep calling, on the fiftieth time we'll suddenly decide to listen to their scam??

Got a call from this number at 9 A.M. this morning.  Since the caller id said unavailable, I didn't bother to answer it, so I don't know what it was about.  I assume, however, that it was unimportant since they didn't leave a message.

They have called at least 4 times a day for about 2 months. I never answer because it says, "Unavailable."
They always call at the same times each day. I presume it's a robocall. How bothersome this is.Thank goodness I have caller ID.

And they called AGAIN (at 1451 hrs.)  This is the second time they've called today and in less than an hour and at least the fourth or fifth time they've called in the last three days.  This time there was someone on the other end, a woman with a heavy accent, likely Indian, going on about our business being "selected" to be featured on Google.  I advised her, in no uncertain terms, to put our number on their Do Not Call list, that they have been calling us continuously and I am sick of it.  

They've been warned.  The next call from them (assuming they don't immediately hang up like they usually do) will be answered with an ear-splitting emergency whistle and I will continue to do so until they get "the message."  We've had this kind of scam call before in which some "company" claims they'll feature your business on Google for what I consider a ridiculous amount of money, especially because we only service a couple of surrounding towns.  Why would we pay money for something that is free and, basically, unavoidable?!  If we wanted to do an ad on Google, we'd contact Google directly, not get fleeced by some unknown "company" that cold calls us continously.

As a follow-up, I blocked my number and called 855-227-8883.  A woman with an accent answered the phone generically as "Customer Assistance."  I told her I wanted to know why I keep getting repeated phone calls and the other person keeps hanging up when I answer.  She asked what number I wanted placed on their Do Not Call list and then asked what number kept calling us.  She promised to put our number on the list but said it would take x-amount of weeks to take effect.  (I didn't catch how many weeks because I'm not inclined to believe the promise.)  We'll see...

Once again these idiots called our company today (this time at 1408 hrs) and, once again, they hung up when I answered.  What's the point of calling a company if you just hang up on them when they answer??  It wasn't even long enough to be an auto-dialer hang-up.  It was immediate.

This person called and asked many questions that raised suspicions. He would not be clear as to the reason for his call.

I received a call from this number at our company at 0957 hrs this morning.  When I answered, there was nothing, no sound, not a peep.  After about 5 seconds the line disconnected.  Caller ID just showed the number and Unavailable which very likely means an unwanted sales call or a scam artist.
