I got a call for these guys today as well.  I looked up the number looks like its from this firm out of MA.  I didn't answer they just left a voicemail

Got zombie calls daily looking for my brother same message threatening litigation reported in potter, Scott and associates.   Called number zombie call left on voice mail. Spoke to a Jeff and told him stop calling and I'm not involved with brother. He said would update file and "situation getting serious" and indicated his company was a law firm. Hoping for no more calls. Saw this posting and others under company name. Thought I'd share my experiences.

Received A Call From 855-230-2486 On My Cell. Caller Id Showed "RESTRICTED" So, I Didn't Answer. They Left A Voice Mail Claiming To Be Michelle Grand Or Grant From The State Of Texas Legal Department On Behalf Of Potter, Scott And Associates & They Were Looking For My Ex Brother In Law Concerning The 3 Complaints Filed Naming Him As The Defendant. They Provided A Case Number And A Phone Number To Call Them Back, Which I Did. I Was Directed To A Mr. Robert Ross, Phone Number 214-666-5182, Who Informed Me That I Was Listed As A Co-Payer/Co-Signer For An Online Loan Dated June 14, 2012, Made In My Ex Brother In Law's Name. He Actually Had My DOB And My Social Security Number! I Live In Wyoming, Not In Texas And I Have Been Divorced For 5 Years. This Robert Ross Told Me I Could Pay A 'Victim Restitution Fee' Of $236.00 To Remove My Name From The Loan And Give Me Legal Absolution From This Debt. Yeah Right, Jack-Wagon, I'm Not Falling For It! I Am Not Legally Responsible For This So-Called Debt, Nor Do I Believe There Is Such A Debt With My Name Associated To It!! He Was Absolutely Shocked When I Informed Him That I Was Filing Complaints With The FBI, Wyoming Attorney General, Texas Attorney General, And The Better Business Bureau. SCAM Using Numbers 855-230-2486 AND 214-666-5182 ALSO USING THE NAME "POTTER, SCOTT AND ASSOCIATES".

This Robert Ross told me I could pay a 'victim restitution fee' of $236.00 to remove my name from the loan and give me legal absolution from this debt. Yeah right, jack- wagon, I'm not falling for it! I am not legally responsible for this so-called debt, nor do I believe there is such a debt with my name associated to it!! He was absolutely shocked when I informed him that I was filing complaints with the FBI, Wyoming Attorney General, Texas Attorney General, and the Better Business Bureau. SCAM using numbers 855-230-2486 AND 214-666-5182 ALSO USING THE NAME "POTTER, SCOTT AND ASSOCIATES".

No they never showed up...

This so called company calls me on a daily basis... (Phone Number: 855-230-2486). They have called my employer, my cell, and my home if not everyday, every other day.  I've contacted my local law enforcement office and they state that "This is a scam".  This company is trying to force me into paying for something that I haven't received by saying they are coming to my home or place of employment and arrest me in front of my co-workers.. They have called my employer and told them that I'm a horrible person, I have used my companies internet to fraudulently take out a loan using my companies information. Even going as far as to give a Fake IP address.(None of this is true) Thank goodness, my Administrator did not believe any of their lies.. My Administrator and I contact the county Law Enforcement office and filed a complaint. I not sure what that's going to.  The harassing phone calls stopped for a little while but they started back today. I have received 3 phone calls today stating the same as before,"They papers that they are coming out today to serve me with and just let everyone know what kind of person I really am!" This is just getting out of hand!  I want this to STOP!  How do I make this stop? Any information will be helpful....

I gave it to my bankruptcy attorney, and there is nothing more for me to do. Glad I kept me receipts. He's calling them and advising to cease and desist.

These people keep calling me also. I've already told them that I filed bankruptcy but after I called the number I found out that they were trying to get paid on a debt that I already paid off. I am so thankful that I kept the cancelled check. I gave it to them and they told me that the amount had doubled and I pulled the email correspondence from APril 2012 when they told me what I owed and I paid it. Julie Green still says she's comingto my hous with 'papers'??? OK good luck with that. I work 3 jobs. I can't seem to even get to my own house!

just got the same call, coming out tomorrow or the next day, have two forms of id ready.... do they ever show up?

Just got a cal from a Mrs. Mitchell stating she had legal court documents for me and I had court date on the 18th and to have two forms of ID when she comes to give me the court papers at my job. The number to find out what this is all about was (855) 230-2486.
