They called about my wife's estate. The only debt she had is CHASE and that was from before we married.

The troll dead people's families including Do Not Call numbers and try to get them to pay their debts. Vultures. You do not need to pay. Tell them to use the court process and not to call you again.

Also-it is YOUR RIGHT to ask them not to call you anymore. If you are not the co-owner (or co-signer) of the debt, it is not your responsibility, even if you are next of kin!! If they continue to call you after you request a "no call" then refer them to an attorney (I gave them a bogus number). My attorney told me we submit a "notice to creditors" in the paper and they have a limited time to collect debts from the estate. In our case, there was no "estate" so I believe the collection people hire these sharks to go after people who unknowingly shell out their hard earned bucks for nothing. Don't do it!!

I got a call from Jennifer Johnson looking for the "executor of the estate" for my deceased father. It is a bill collector, and from what my attorney is telling us, the family is not responsible for ANY of the deceased debts!! Don't let them sway you or convince you that you are!! It is a scare tactic because some people (unknowingly) try to do the "right thing" and pay the debt off. If there is a probate, these companies have only 60 days to collect from time of posting. It's just business. Chase, Discover cards, and medical bills will remain unpaid. It is a bad debt that they eventually write off. Don't let them bully you into paying anything!! My best advice would be to seek counsel from an attorney who handles business law.

Will these people continue to dig till they find someone who will answer or what will happen?

I received a call from this same phone number today.  My mother passed away a year ago.  she had a Chase card and every time I would call to make a payment they would tell me not to pay it with my own money.  Then they would advise me not to pay that someone would be in touch with me about the card.  I do have siblings and they have agreed to live in the house.  We have not done a succession because none of us have any money.  Her name was the only name on that account.  Everyone tells me not to pay that Chase will write it off.  Can they legally come back on me and my siblings?

The number belongs to DCM Services, a collection agency that according to their own website is the "only collection agency in the U.S. focused exclusively on deceased accounts." They may try to get you to pay by making you feel responsible, but unless it was a joint account, you are not legally responsible. However, if the estate is probated, they will almost certainly file with the court in order to insure their claim gets paid prior to the heirs receiving any money, as is their legal right.

He left a message asking if i was handling the estate or to please let him know who was handling the estate of a certain deceased individual(my ex husband of 10 years).  Sounds like collections call to me. Not Falling For It Scumbag!

Got a call from someone wanting to speak to the person handling the final affairs of Joe D.  My Joe D. was in the kitchen getting coffee.  Seems she called the wrong Joe D. and it would have upset me if he was at work and I did not know what the call was about.  

My step mother got a call from this number and gave the person my number,  then I got a call, I appreciate the posts anout this number so I can be netter prepared to deal.with them

They are debt collectors for Chase, and maybe others.

Got a message today looking for executor of my wife's estate.  Call from Nicole.  Call was from DCN Services regarding my wife's Discover Card and also a Chase Card where $ were owed.  Since there is no estate and no probate, they just wanted to let me know that they will get back to me if they see court records of a probate.  Otherwise, they just sit on it.

Received a call from a woman looking for the executor of the estate of my late boss. I was not here at the time so it was left on the voicemail. I am not executor and I am not aware of a huge medical debt.

If it is for your deceased fathers medical bills, you may qualify for medical hardship/financial forgiveness. Talk to the billing dept. at the hospital he was in.

Got a call from this number today (855-234-1135) and they left a message on my machine saying they were trying to get in touch with the executors of my father's estate.  My father passed away deeply in debt (mostly with hospital bills) about six months ago and this is the first call I have received like this.  (I was not the executor either, so I have no idea how they got my phone number)  Sounds like a bill collector to me.

Would like to know who this is too. My mom got a call from a "Jennifer Delmain?" today from this number. Any information would be appreciated.
