WF's current spokesperson 'Lisa' (as of Mid-March, 2011) is urging everyone who receives such calls to simply call back their toll-free number to undergo the process of having their promotional calls removed.
No, we highly doubt that WF's promotional calls will certainly cease w/in the next 30 days.
Instead, we think that WF will CONTINUE making promotional calls (maybe from different numbers?), and that they may even transfer our telephone numbers to OTHER WF affiliates for even MORE promotional offers!

Therefore, we won't be following the recommendations of 'Lisa' and other WF spokespersons to call back WF's toll-free numbers to initiate this "removal-process", and suggest that you other readers do the same.

Stupid wells fargo, calling a number I just activated

Trying to find out who calls from this number.

Call the number back and they will take your number off their calling list...it's WellsFargo promotions.

Whoever calls from this number always asks for Nioele Stevens or Raymond Stevens.  Time after time, I've informed them that they have the wrong number, that there is no one here by that name and please remove our telephone number from their calling list.  A few months later the same thing happens again with a different 800 number.  I want these calls to stop.

u know like someone that wants to sell you life insurance or etc...
all you gotta do is call wellsfargo at 800-to wells (800-869-3559) and tell them you want to be removed from any and all offers from their partnered companies...chances r when you signed up or clicked on something while on wf site u gave permission...i did and that was stupid on my part...

I receive this call, even though I am on the "no call" list.  Then I clicked to "report" the call and have to "post a msg."

I simply want to stop the calls.

If you call the number back and listen to the recording it will tell you to press 1 to be removed. Then it will tell you to enter your phone number starting with the area code. Then it will repeat your number back to you and tell you you will be removed within the next 3 business days and the next 30 days for all Wells Fargo promotions. Make sure you stay on the line for entire process or you don't get removed.

I received a call from this number, but a message was not left on my answering machine. I went into a Wells Fargo bank a few days ago prior to the phone call. I am going to rip a hole in the agents head tomorrow. If you can't leave a message, then they shouldn't call.

Yes I got a call today, but know leaves a message. What is interesting is that I did give my number to a Well Fargos representative a few days prior to the call. He should not have given my number to anyone else for any type of sales business.

This is sure odd, when I put my name and number on the "do not call list" this last January, I stopped getting spam mail on my computer completely and started getting all kinds of bad phone calls of various numbers, this was one of them. It might be best to never have your phone number in the "do not call list at all?" because somebody in the government is not doing their job!

I keep getting calls from here. I either hang up, push the * key a dozen times, or scream real loud. They keep calling. Guess  i need to report them.

Got one today... asked for me by name, when I said 'speaking; he hung up!!!

I have received at least three calls a day from this number over the past two weeks.  One day they came every two hours.  I am home trying to recuperate, and the calls always wake me even if I don't answer.  If they are Wells Fargo, I do have an account, but thought I had done everything with then to stop these calls.

TOLL FREE CALL (caller id) hang up call from this number, I file FTC DNC complaints which helps stop these kind of calls.

got the same call tonight. Trying to offer some insurance plan or something - i told her 3 times i was not interested but she kept going on and on and started to get mad because i wouldnt listen to her speech so just hung up on her
