I received a call from an address verification company stating there may be a possible law suit against my ex and me. I have been divorced from my ex since 1993. They were nasty on the phone and would not give me any information. They are trying to scare and use bully tactics.

They called here looking for my ex-husband threatening a law suit; when I

I just got a phone call from these idiots same tale as the rest although this guy claimed to have had my credit report started naming off things I had on there a few years. Back that i have since taken care of. He mentioned a settlement offer and a credit card I don't recall ever getting. BS he said he'd serve me so I'd have the proof yet kept going on about settling to avoid alot of other fees. I asked for a statement n he couldn't provide me that. He said they would just sue me and he ended up saying he'd see me in court in California it is against the law to threaten a person that way . He also said he had my credit report , social and address . I think it's a scam !

I just got a call from a similar agency from a guy named MICHAEL JONES saying he had information on a lawsuit regarding my father and his Ex Girlfriend.  When he called he was making it seem like he was trying to contact my father but he said my name by accident and tried to cover it up, what a jerk haha...  When i called the number he gave me to give them a piece of my mind, i got a "General voice mailbox"  So I left Mr. Jones (Worst fake name ever) a nastygram about if he was contacting my father they should contact him and not me and to lose my number or they would be hearing from my lawyer.  Haha these people are so dumb.

A lady called looking for a friend of mind.  Asked if I knew how to get hold of him and that it is important for me to past this message onto him.  Provided me the 855 252-23392 and to ask for Kelly Clarke regarding a lawsuit that he's a defendant to.  (you hear all these noise in the background that sounds like a boiler room)

They call every other month with misinformation. Can't anyone put these idiots out of business. They are obviously scammers phishing for information.

Big time scam.  The caller saw our phone number and address in the phone book.  We use initials instead of names so the caller made up some names.  He claimed to be dispatching legal paperwork to our house with a bogus legal number as well.  This is not the first time someone has tried to do this.  I am cautious about identity theft.  These scammers are always working a new angle.

I am getting 4 calls every day from this number, I have no bills in my name plus I have no credit cards so I owe no collection agency's. They will give me no information on the possible lawsuit I am in, but they want my information so they can serve me they said, so I told them if you have my name and number then you have my address if I owe you. She hung up on my and called me back 5 min later and said if I was ready to talk to her now. Really?? I am in no lawsuit, they are just fishing for my info. They called my husbands job and hung up on his supervisor. I am just embarrassed now, how do I stop the harassment, If I am really being sued wouldnt they give me the info? SCAM SCAM SCAM

Got a call regarding a process verification the same as everyone else.  I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, as the name they gave is nobody I know.  The guy who answered said "I am the supervisor." I asked to speak to his supervisor and he refused to put anyone else on the line.

Like the above post this appears to be a scam. We received a message from a woman who in an irritating operator voice stating they were from Process Verification stating they were documents being dispatched to an address of a relative that does not live with us nor have they ever and they have no debt issues.  Obviously they are mass calling the last names based on a bad database.
"This is Christine James calling with process verification. This is an alert notification for _______. There will be documents being dispatched at _________. If you will not be available at that location. To receive your documentation or have any further questions you may reach the issuing agent that telephone number 88552523392 and quote your case number. Failure to communicate with issuing agent will result in a decision to be made without your knowledge"

i received a threatening call from these people and said something about a lawsuit. i am leery about them because the person i spoke to didnt seem to have the right info

By the way, last time they called there never was any lawsuit.  This time I looked up their "case number" in the legal database.  It isn't even in a legal case format.

Dude called my cellphone talking about this was his final attempt to contact me and that my assets were being evaluated. The call was from a private number (Red Flag) and he left the Number to call back. First of all, if he realy knew so much about me he would know that I DO NOT HAVE ANY ASSETS TO EVALUATE. Unless he wants to take my car and pay the note! KILL YOUSELF DUDE!

Caller said he represented AGS allied guarantee services.  Threatened a lawsuit against our daughter and the threat also included us.  We first received a caller (number said private on caller ID) who wanted to know if someone was home to sign for some papers.  When I quizzed him, he gave me a case number and the 855 number.  The rude individual at the 855 number told me that if I had signed for those papers that I, too, would have been a part of a pending lawsuit; however, he couldn't tell me the nature of the case.  AND I AM INVOLVED.  How much sense does that make.  Rude, threatening, obnoxious.

Lacking details from you, this is possibly a cheap and illegal scare tactic from a debt collector. Essentially the thugs are using you in an effort to make your ex-spouse anxious to pay what may be a bogus or unprovable claim. Probably called you first while knowing full well how to find the true target.

It could be the fakie type from India and Pakistan, as discussed at growing length on this site.

I got a call from this number.  They said they are a process server concerning a possible lawsuit.  They listed my name and the name of my "X", from whom I've been divorced from for over 10 years.  I'm not aware of any issues that could be in connection of a lawsuit.  SCAM?
