My receptionist at work took a message from "Julie Evans". She wouldn't do anything except leave a voicemail on my supervisors' voicemail. Luckily I work at a place who has people who are very understanding...anyway, my supervisor let me listen to the voicemail and it was Julie stating that she was on her way to serve me a subpoena to appear in court for check fraud. This was due to a payday loan that I defaulted on in 2009 with Check and Go. She gave a number for me to call. When I called I got a Matthew Daniels who calmly (and very legit sounding) explained to me that I was being sued and to stop this from happening I had to pay $515 that day. When I explained that I didn't have that money to pay he said that because I hadn't been "served" yet, he would knock of the $200 "locating fee". Which would bring my balance down to $315. I stupidly gave them my card number because I was freaked out. After hanging up, I thought about it and found this website and noticed that others got the same call. I called them back and asked for proof of the debt and allegations. I was told they couldn't give me anything until the payment went through. I would get a "Paid in Full" letter. After that, I cancelled my debit card with my bank and did not pay them anything. I called them back and explained to them that I wanted their lawyers name and license number in the state of California along with proof of the debt or I wasn't paying anything. They got mean after that and I hung up. I won't pay them a cent until I get some sort of paperwork stating that this charge is legit!

She is NOT LEGIT! She will not show up to serve you anything. THey are trying to scare you into giving them money for no reason. They are scam artists!! I've been dealing with their crap for a month!

I received a call from her a few minutes ago stating the same thing. Except she called me from a local number. I have researched this company thoroughly. i even called the company i supposedly had the loan with and they have never heard of me..ITS A SCAM...we will see if she shows up at my door lol

Calling stating they are trying to serve me papers, when I called back and asked to give them my attorney name they informed me they don't deal with attorneys well if you have formal litigation you must deal with attorneys.  This is a scam to get money out of me that they are not owed.

They also haven't sent me anything in writing. Is this normal?

I have been getting calls from a Julia Evans saying that she is coming out to place place of employment to server me for a pay day loan. She has called my work over five times in a roll and 10 times on my cell phone. she is calling from an 325-400-3775. I am needing to know if this is a legitamte server. She said she is a private server. I tried calling the 855-293-6505 number I spoke to someone but they were not very nice.
When I asked Julia what company she told me she could not tell me. What should I do??? I am a little worried that I will be served. I have tried to make arrangements with the company I owe but they sold it to this company called Nationwide.

The calls have started again.  This time a girl named AMY.  When I refused to identify myself she got upset.  Told me I had to say who I was.  Told her NO, I didn't.  She then tried to give me a phone number.  Told her I already had it...she said No you don't what you can't write.  She tried to be a smart alec and when she found out it wasn't working she hung up.

I receive repeated calls from this number, they refuse to believe I am not who they are looking for, and they continue to harass me.  They answer the phone as "Nationwide".  They refuse to give me a supervisor on the phone, an address to send a certified letter to or anything else.  They are totally bogus and harassing.  I have registered a complaint with the FCC, and I think everyone should also!  They should have their numbers disconnected and be charged HUGE fines to have service re-established.

Didn't receive a call from Julie Evans yesterday and to this date she has not appeared to serve documents.

Just got another call from Julie Evans.  Said she is on her way out to deliver court documents to me.  That I would have to appear in court once they were delivered.  Told her to come on out.  That I had looked this up and it was a scam.  She said no it wasn't...I said come on out.  Be interesting to see if she shows up.

Received a call from a Julie Evans.  Said that I was going to be served court documents and she would be out to serve them.  Call came from a Texarkana AR  648-1093.  Gave me a file number and the phone number of 855-256-1928.  Wouldn't give information about what this was concerning other than to say I would have to appear in cour.

a lady named "Karen" calls me and tells me shes an investigator and needs my address to send me documents regarding charges brought up against me. When I asked her what for, she stated that I gotta call a firm with more information. she gave me the number 855-256-1928 for more information. I asked her what's the name of the firm she said she doesn't know....sounds like BS to me. I explained to her that I will not disclose my address if she can't disclose the charges or the firm's name. I've already started harassment reports with my local police department, and she and her so-called "firm" has been added to the list.

they called with an 808 area code number, but in their voice message, gave me this 8552561928 number to call back. no one answered and kept bringing me back to their voice mailbox. seems like a scam since i dont owe any debt.

said they were from nationwide they were process servers from california.....sounds to me like a scam...threating my husband was goin to be served for a check n go loan....or any payday loans....be careful

kept calling using profanity and threats

No caller ID, but a lady called looking for someone I know, talking about "charges".  Gave me this number and a claim number to pass on to him, and just before she hung up, said she considers him "officially notified"

The number first showed up as "Unknown Caller" and then called right back as (208) 980-7163.
Lady introduced herself as Lauren Kelly.
Said some charged were brought up against someone I know, and that it looked like they were in serious trouble. Gave me a number to call (said it was a firm) and a case number. Told me to call and get a release order. I asked her what these "charges" were but she told me that she wasn't able to open the documents.
