It's Wells Fargo...You probably have a loan or are doing some sort of business with them so, unfortunately, the "DO NOT CALL" law doesn't apply to them.

This phone number appears to be a scam "phishing" call from a source masked as "Wells Fargo" . Phishing calls try and extract sensitive personal information or money from you by deceiving you. Reports indicate that you may hear a pre-recorded message . In this case, reports indicate the caller claims to be a Wells Fargo representative. They may ask for personal details such as your birth date and Social Security Number (SSN).
They may also attempt to collect your phone number (some companies auto-dial directories and don't have you associated with your phone number). Whatever you do, don't give it out. Every additional piece of information helps a scam company cross-match data and create a more complete profile on you.
Additional reports indicate that some callers that answered the call were hung up on. Some report that the caller's English language skill is poor. Other reports indicate mispronunciation of names. In many instances the caller simply hung up.
Finally, reports indicate this this is a rather amateurish attempt at a phishing call. You're best off to block/ ignore any calls from this number.
Do not call the number back, and do not give out any of your personal information. Sometimes, merely calling a number back will verify that you are accessible and expose you to more risk. Someone from this number has been calling several times a day. My son answered and they told him there was an emergency and something about a crash. He's 5.....who would tell a 5 year old that, geez!

I've been getting these calls for months despite being registered w/NAT'L DO NOT CALL LIST. ajust recently..they called 8 times in 9 days. Normally the call disconnects when my machine takes the call. But a new one just cropped up with a male voice using 2 different names [ 1 name only like Jackson] or maybe it's 2 different guys.. don't know .. don't care... but they leave these serious [ but reeeally vague] messages..using legalese-sounding words that of course are meaningless... and it's about a "friend of yours" and they 'have to verify some facts' but can't mention the details "of this type of [ meaningless word] situation" ..It's all vague and generic...and I know it's total BS.. but it worked on one of my friends who actually got freaked out and called them..
