If you gave them access to your computer then they did. If you didn't give them access, then no!  Make sure your firewall and Antivirus are on, run the antivirus program. You can also download maleware bytes from file hippo and run it. Spybot search & destroy is a good back up for antivirus programs , download it, update it and run it also. You can find it on file hippo also. I think Nortons and McAfee still have online scans also! Do that as well. Change any and all passwords everyplace. If your not tech savvy, take it to a real computer Tech you can see face to face! No one should ever touch your computer but you, your manufacturer, real Microsoft people you called at the real Microsoft headquarters or your real live Tech you can see face to face!

Microsoft does not cold call you or tell you have virus problems, this is not true, there is no way to tell these things.

Told me they were with Microsoft and that my computer needed to be fixed, I am afraid that they got into my computer.  Call the number and only receive message saying they are not available.

when I pick up no one is there.....annoying.

Recieve calls from this number periodically.  Do not answer.
No messages left.  Assume it is a telemarketer.
I am also on do not call list.

Got a call today (5/19)  at 2:54pm another on 5/16 at 10:53am, another on 5/17 at 1:44pm, again on 5/18 at 8:46am.  No messages.  None of the calls have been answered.  We don't answer the phone if we don't recognize the number.  CID shows it at "Toll Free".

It's been calling about every other day this week!! Very annoying!!!

I just got a call, called the number back, and it says it's Verizon Wireless.

I get the call every other day....4 times. Let's see if they call again. I do not answer numbers I don't know.

They say they are from verizon.

Has called me every day for the past 5 days, never leaving a message.

Even if these were legit calls they are supposed to have their name come up not "unavailable" etc.
It's time the overpaid government employees who kissed someone but to get a cushy job actually did their job and stop this constant barrage of annoying calls.
The best results I have gotten is to file complaints with the FCC. They actually do something while the FTC is a joke as par as phone harassment goes.

Has called me 4 - 5 time now, has not left a message. I normally dont answer numbers I don't recognize and if their important, they will leave a voicemail.

If it is indeed a fake Verizon Wireless person, I won't be answering. Especially considering I'm not the main line for the Verizon account.

I received a call yesterday afternoon and then one this morning. I answered the second time and there was no one on the line. I have no idea who it would be calling me but it is annoying & I am on the do not call registry.

Well they called me today and I returned their call.. when I refused to give them my account information she got mad. I called #pmt and talked to a real verizon wireless rep who verified this number is not affiliated with verizon wireless and reported it to be investigated. The customer service rep I spoke with said when verizon wireless calls you (outgoing) they do not need you to verify your information.. haha. Nice try from the post above..

This is a company who is working/representing Verizon Wireless. They have called me for the past few weeks as my 2 year contract ended in early Dec. They want me to buy another phone and sign up for another 2 yr committment, when I said no. They have canned responses such as "well, I will go ahead and leave everything the same except sign you up for a one year guarantee and give you 500 free minutes to use whenever, I will do that now."  I politely declined and they said they will close their file with no changes.

Got a call this morning, it rang only 3 times before the caller hung up. I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. There was no message left. However, I have looked up 855 and it IS a toll free number made available within the last year for use in the U.S. and Canada.

BEWARE, if you answer a number beginning with area code 855, YOU will be charged, the caller will not.

5th call from them in about a week. No voicemail left any of the times, haven't bothered answering because I don't recognize it.

I received 2 calls over the holiday (Thanksgiving) weekend on the 25th and 26th at different times.
No message left on mine either. I typically don't answer if I don't know the number.

Just got a call today.  No message left.
They called my cell phone, which is also on the Do Not Call list.
