In response to "American Patriot"-- I'm sure if this wasn't the NRA, it would be stopped quickly. The NRA is one of the wealthiest lobbying organizations in this country, and as our history demonstrates, they are not afraid to use their money and lawyers to get what they want, such as handguns and semi-automatic weapons onto the streets. They (and their republican party) will continue manipulating small-minded folks like you to support their corporate patrons.
It's sad that racism animates your worldview so thoroughly.

Folks, it is NOT the NRA! As JHB says above, it is telemarketing.  Please be more thoughtful about the NRA.  Above all, they protect your rights under the Constitution and keep the government from coming after ?undesirables? (soon to be YOU, the White, Anglo-Saxon, Protestant ~ WASP) American citizen... If the present government is reelected (#44 ~BHO), you will be wishing that you were armed!

Get hooked up with caller ID so that you can know who is calling and NOT ANSWER THE PHONE.  Or pick up the TM call and HANG UP IMMEDIATELY.  Or you could get yourself a CALL BLOCKER AT http://www.digitone.com/  Or try this method ->   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fl5uhjJFTiE  ~  Write a little script of your own, keep it by the phone...  no matter what the TM says...  improvise and pick up your script.  Practice your script a few times, so that it becomes natural.  Turn an annoyance into a laugh and make them hang up!  They won?t call you back again!

Got a call from this number claiming to be the US Census Bureau. I hung up on them and they called right back. I don't know what their scam is because I didn't pick up the second call.

I imagine it's a fake to make one of the conservative icons, the NRA, look bad to slide that fool Obama in for another 4 so he can complete his master plan to turn our country into a total wasteland. People can spoof anything onto caller ID and use a robo caller with any message they want and people take it at face value and think it's really the NRA. I think it's someone trying to irritate people in the name of the NRA.

Called this morning at 9 am promptly.  Left no message but I called back and got recording.  "Press 1 to learn more about the NRA updates."  No option to be dropped from their list.

Report this to the Do Not call list at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx. Reporting it here does you NO good at all.... Hopefully DNC will enforce and it is an $11,000 fine per call... so report it.

I have repeatedly submitted my number to the Do Not Call Registry (what a joke that registry is), I am caring for an Alzheimer's victim that has been my roommate for fifty years, I am old, exhausted and very frustrated with all these unwanted calls.

Got ANOTHER call today!  Finally was ready for the 866 # to be removed from their mailing list!!!  It's 866-672-4000.  Called and Marie answered....hope it works!!!!

This is very annoying.  They called from several different numbers and I don't answer but from what I have read it is from the NRA.  If I was not already for gun control, I would be now....

Didn't answer and immediately reported this call as a violation on the Do Not Call list. Why in the heck would the NRA be calling me?

Did not answer incoming call which only showed phone number on Caller ID -- NO organization identification !!!

Called number back and got recording offering information about NRA, but it provided NO OPTION to remove my number from their call list.

They champion 2nd Amendment Rights but care nothing about disturbing the peace of my Saturday morning promptly at 9 am.

Received the call - then a recorded message to stay on the line someone from the NRA had a message for me - then very very quickly the recorded message recited a phone number to call if you want to be removed from their calling list - they did NOT repeat the number so it was impossible to get it. I waited for the NRA message so I could tell them to remove me but after a few minutes I was disconnected. Doubt that it will do any good but I filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney Generals office this morning.

I understand that this is from the NRA.  I am on a do not call list & things have become much worse this past year...These are ANNOYING phone calls.
I have found that if you do not answer on the 1st or 2nd ring...there is no one there...something about there 'dialers' at these centers.  Then I look up the phone number on google

Several others posting on here agree with me that it isn't the NRA calling.  SCAM and maybe folks just wanting to make the NRA look really really bad. Call the NRA and report the numbers on your caller ID. Just do it.

Not sure it really is the NRA calling. I got some calls from another number. I then called the number listed on their website. I reported the number. From talking to the individual on the line, I sort of got the impression that it wasn't one of their numbers. Be careful.  If you have the time, go to their website. If the number that was on your caller ID doesn't match, call and give them the number off your caller ID>

These "robot" calls are made to see what time you answer your phone.
Telemarketers get a report and start to call you shortly therafter..... and
they will call at the times you have answered your phone. Their report
Only shows working phone numbers.

Get caller ID, get an answering machine, or change your number.

I'm gonna stop house phone service and just use a cell phone.

Keeps calling and hangs up. Is going on for days calls anytime - stop wasting our time.

I love these kinds of calls, why because I bought a Digitone Call Blocker. It will hang up on them and my telephone doesn't even ring. Then if I feel like it I can check it to see how many calls it hung up on. You need to get one too.

I received a call from this number around 8pm.  I had to say hello a couple of times finally a real live person responded and said he was from the NRA and asked to speak to Mr. (my last name)  I told him there was no such person.  He responded and said for me to disregard the call.  I told him to remove my number, he then said that is what "disregard the call" means.  My number will be removed.  We will see about that.  I don't believe anyone on this matter with these kinds of calls.  Whoever thought up these kind of calls should be hung by their thumbs.

keep getting these calls at all hours. we are members of nra and i don't think this is is them.i t has to be a scam and i would like it stopped. nra has always been a great organization in all the years we have been members.  who do we turn the callers into?
