Got the same message as most of you and decided to hang on and wait for a human to come on.  He was reluctant but finally gave his name as Jack Nizynsky @ x2120 and was very rude and insisted that he needed to get hold of my son right away about a "financial matter".  I told him to give me his number and I'd see if my son wanted to get hold of him but to take me off of his list.  I also told him that I wouldn't give the message to my son unless he told me what the subject was about.  Then I decide to look up the number here and it appears that this is a scammer looking for personal information.  Thanks to everyone for the information.  I'm going to let it ring until they get tired and move on.

Got a message on my phone I missed a call. Checked the phone, no voice mail was left. I do not owe anybody money and haven't since 2003. I have heard about these scammers trying to get peoples information pretending to be phony companies. I never fall for this crap. One reason I never answer my phone unless I know who is calling me. Technology just makes it easier for these bafoons to try to get OLD folks on the phone who are gullible enough to give them there SSN number and they can go to town using your name. I did like everybody else said, ignored it!

Called...ID showed Toll Free Number...did not answer...What do we have to do to make these idiots leave us alone...I'm tired of these folks disturbing me at home...would change the # and make it unlisted/unpublished...but with the computer generated/robo calls,I'd just be wasting my time and money.

It's a strong chance FFAM is skip tracing for some stranger and your number or name or whatever has caught you in its dragnet. If so, send a ''cease communication'' notice via USPS Certified with return card. This is the method promoted by the FTC and many consumer watchdogs, who will explain how you can do some damage if that notice is ignored.

If you're worried about a dinged credit report, you can pull your own from the big three reporting agencies. You're entitled to an annual freebie from each with no strings.

I received a strange call from 855-282-1463 calling themselves First Financial Asset Management (a debt collection agency). I have a stellar credit rating and I am paying all of my bills on time. I googled this number and found that many other people had been contacted. One person claims that their phone number was "spooled" and only showed up on his call log as 000-000-0000. No one seemed to have any debt. I am worried that this will affect my credit rating, and in addition, I'm worried that I will continue to receive these unwanted calls.

Received a call today, said they were First Financial Assett manager.  They asked me to verify information, name, address, and SSN.  When I wouldn't tell him my SSN he said he could not speak to me about my problem, which I have no idea what it is.
He then asked again and I told him again I would not give him my SSN- he abruptly said "ok, have a good day" and hung up on me.

I can not pay any of my CC bills for medical reasons that I wont go into. Nevertheless, I get these calls from various collection companies. They will keep calling despite what you tell them. Here is what I did. I have call forwarding select on my phone service. This enables me to forward certain numbers to other numbers. Now when they try and call, their phone calls another company that bothers me. You must have "call forwarding select" to do this as regular call forwarding will divert all your incoming calls. My phone would ring 30-40 times a day, and now its quiet. I use Comcast for a phone service, and "select" is a standard feature. The same is true for many phone services.

we have told this company many times over we are filing bankrupty, gave them the lawyers name and number this is all we have to tell them, they keep calling when I answer they want to know what chapter etc. legally that is all we have to tell them, you can tell them over and over, does no good so we just don't answer the call. we are on the do not call list but does no good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you see this number just save yourself a lot of time and let them waste theirs.

A guy named Marcus called me regarding a debt with Best Buy for $ 1,300 wich I don't have.
This guy was rude and told me they were doing me a favor by calling me to settle this debt, otherwise they would sue me.  The number was 1-855-282-1463 ext 2067. Don't pay attention to these calls. THEY ARE THIEVES.

I received a phone call from this number earlier today, however, the number came across (on my caller ID) as 000-000-0000. Also, it never went into my "missed calls" listing. My message went like this:
1. Computer Voice A "this message is for" (3 second pause)
2. Computer Voice B (my actual name)
3. Computer Voice A "if this is not" (3 second pause)
4. Computer Voice B (my actual name)
5. Computer Voice A "please hang up or disconnect. if this is" (3 second pause)
6. Computer Voice B (my actual name)
7. Computer Voice A "please stay on the line for an important message. there will now be a 3 second pause so you can avoid disclosure of this message to other individuals" (3 second pause) "please contact first financial management at 855-282-1463 regarding an important business matter. again that number is 8552821463. thank you"

I was curious as to why the number would show up on my audible caller ID as 000-000-0000. After some research, I discovered a process called caller ID spoofing. Apparently, this process will make your phone number show up as 000-000-0000 or 999-999-9999 on any caller ID device. I don't know much about spoofing, except people who make threatening or harrassing phone calls use it all the time.

I received a phone call from this number. I found it very unusual in that a message was actually left this time. The first thing I heard was my name spoken by a computerized female voice. The next words were "if this is not", them my name by the same computerized voice, then "please hang up. if this is", then my name by the same computerized voice, then "please stay on the line for the following message". A different computerized female voice came on the phone and said "please contact first financial asset management regarding an important business matter". According to the best available research, First Financial Asset Management is a debt collection agency which buys accounts receivables for "pennies on the dollar". If they are legit, let them leave a message stating EXACTLY WHAT LEGITIMATE BUSINESS THEY HAVE WITH ME.

I received a call from this number earlier. As I did not recognize the phone number, I did not answer. As usual, no voice mail message was left. Despite all the warnings about scams in general, and and so-called debt collection agencies in particular (that operate illegally (not according to policies set by the FDCPA)), I called this number back. I got a computer (non-human) message which said "hello, and thank you for calling first financial asset management. we are a professional debt collection agency. we are trying to collect a debt, and any information we obtain will be used for that purpose". As for myself, I owe no money to first financial asset management.
