I also got a call from the "mediation group" called Progressive claiming they are not collectors. Mr. Davis was extremely rude and would not listen to anything I said.  He stated that I need to pay $800.00 or they will serve me papers and I would have to go to court.  I found this link and immediately called my bank to report the issue and they reported my card lost.  I called the original loan company who said they sold it to another collection agency.  Called that company and they sold it 2 days after they got it to yet another collections agency.  This Progressive company refused to send me anything to show me what I owed because the original loan company already did etc.  I called the FTC and reported the issue.  There number was 1-888-364-4892.  My FTC reference # 43074564

They called my HR dept telling them that bs story about serving me with papers. When the lady from HR spoke with me I told her that it was a payday loan. She said in the state in Texas they can not come to your job and do any of that sh**! But, that lady that called is super RUDE! She said, She was with Harris County. She doesn't work with no damn Harris County. I really didn't have a problem until they called my parents house!!! Telling my Dad all this stuff about me committing fraud.. FYI PEOPLE A BILL COLLECTOR CAN NOT DISCLOSE THRID PARTY INFO! I have a friend who does it and he gave me all the scoop. I was waiting for her to call back so, I can speak to her supervisor but, the tramp didn't call back.  Needless to say I owe it so, I will pay it.

It is a debt collector name Progressive, they claim they are a mediator for original debts of payday loans such as Loan Point and others. They somehow obtain numbers of coworkers, friends, extended relatives and family and humiliate you by stating you are going to be arrested for bank fraud etc and threaten and harass people in attempt to extort the money. Anyone with similar incident, contact the FTC at 877-382-4357 and file a formal complaint. My complaint number is 38406052. FTC will only adjudicate multiple complaints, so be sure to file so you can get these people to stop. I also filed a complaint with the attorney generals office.

Company is demanding payment for an unknown debt.  They will not give us their address or any other information..

well I thought the same thing and they showed up and served my co-worker for an internet loan...they called her about 3 days ago

I keep getting calls saying they are going to serve me with papers. They are really rude. Haven't seen any papers yet. They are trying to get me to give them my account number so they can make arrangements to pay off loan I have no rememberance of. DO THEY REALLY THINK I AM STUPID.
