The guy said he was from "Perry Johnson" and asked to speak to our quality manager.

The guy called asking for our quality manager and said he was from Perry Johnson.  Perry Johnson is a company that calls a LOT and won't take the hint.  No one here ever calls them back as they aren't needed.

A guy from this company called my office this am.  I told him I was with a customer and wasn't interested.  He called back w/i 5 minutes, extremely rude, tried to bully me, I hung up.  He called back 4-5 times later in the day and harrased my secretary.  He told her his company was Demand, but wouldn't give her his name.  Difficult trying to run a business when this is going on.

No message left. Seeing the posting for copiers or printing. I left Xerox and when on my own. Think I may have spoke them and told them. I service the 250,000.00 and up printers. Plus I get my printing for nothing. So why should I use you.

Just called us and asked for my boss by name.  Same old stuff. "Sorry, he's not in. May I take a message?"
"No, but thank you!" Click.

Guy called and asked if this was a business line. I said "no" and he hung up.

Got a call from this number asking for the owner but could not pronounce the name correctly.  Asking to speak to him about our bottle water service.   I asked do you currently handle it and he said no but I want to talk to Chris (the owner). I told them we already have service and are good, no thank you.  Then said I would like to speak to her.  I corrected him and said she is a he and we are good, no service is needed.  Then again said to speak with Chris.  I said we are good and then he insistently started again..  I said thank you and hung up.  Again the person had no clue and was rude...

You are 10 minutes up the road from me right now. Got you now sucker... that's right your phone won't ring after this.

This number started calling again after a time lapse since their last call.  It shows up on CID as "Unknown Name".

It automatically goes to voice mail but they choose to never leave a message and I do not know who they are.

How do you block a caller?

This person has got to be a scammer!!! I also just got a call from this number. The guy said he wanted to talk to someone in charge of roof repairs. When I sasked if he was a solicitor, he said no. I asked if someone had contacted him, he said yes but couldn't give a name. When I asked for his name and number to try and find the person who might have called him (even though I thought it was bogus), he wouldn't give his name or number. I told him to take our number off his list and hung up. He then called back and hung up several times.

Got a call from this person 5 times today asking for the owner. I blocked his call and said he's not in and if he's like to leave a voicemail. Everytime he says no, I'll just call back. It's annoying. Reading this, made me aware to keep blocking this person's calls! Caller ID says Toll Free Call.

Xerox rep does not call you. I had work for Xerox. Xerox at the present time has sub out to a company to do sales. If they ask about your copier, tell them nothing, Toner Phone scam.

Called my office asking to speak to the person who makes decisions about copiers and fax machines. We usually give people like this a phony name so when they call back we know its a telemarketer when they ask for the fake name. But today I just transferred him to an extension that doesn't belong to anyone and let him leave a voicemail for nobody if he chose to do that. So tired of never ending sales calls. Can hardly get work done for answering them all day everyday!

The DNC does not apply to unknown callers or unleft messages.  It is for Registered with the FTC Telemarketers who attempt to sell you goods or services and collect compensation over the phone.
Nothing else applies to the DNC.  All other violations come under the FTC Proper,  FCCs or even the FBI.

The DNC list is just "a list".   It doesn't monitor,  screen,  or block anyone's unwanted calls and was not created or intended to do so.  Anyone can call you that wants to and there is no "list"  in the world to stop them.

Today the caller from this number is  wanting to place a roofing bid. Yeah right

Same as others. Got a call from this number which I let go into voice mail because the caller ID only said "toll free call". I too am on the do not call list. The message left was empty.

Says he's from Demand Marketing (boy, this phone number really gets around!) and gave bogus web address: demandmakreting.com.

Just got the call for  a 2nd time hung up

Received a call today, the caller wanted to speak with the person responsible for purchasing copiers, when I told him we were not interested in buying copiers at this time, he got pushy,  I let him know we were already under contract, he then started wanting to know who we were with, how many, ect.  I finally told him I had to go and hung up. I think he was trying to get info on our copiers for scam telemarketing.

Caller said he was from Perry Johnson, wanted to know if we were interested in being ISO certified, and could he speak to the person in charge of that.  Refused to leave his contact information ("I'm in and out of the office a lot") and I said he could leave his information but I couldn't give him any. He said thanks for my time, and hung up.

according to Mr Number this is not a valid number, therefore SCAM

Said he was a local xerox rep.  Wanted to speak to someone who was in charge of copiers.
