Received 2 calls from this number yesterday from someone named Kevin McCoy. Said he will be here today(3/21/2012) with legal papers and needs to see my ID. Has anyone ever had them show up? Have a sick hubby that doesn't need this bs. Ready to answer the door with an attitude!!!!!

My soon to be ex mother in law called me and told me that some one was looking for me to serve me with a summons as well, left the number and a claim number, so i did call them back and the said the name of their company is check management group. why they would call my ex mother in law is beyond me. But i think the company is real, do to the person they are representing we do owe money to, not as much as they are claiming but nevertheless, we do owe them.

I received a call from Gene Miller as well today telling me the same thing. It was a blocked number and told me to be home on Friday. I live in TX. What state are you in?

Lori..........When the guy called me for the third straight day (and the day he was to show), I answered the phone, told him I had no idea what this was regarding and that my Supervisor at work, who happened to be the Chief of Police in my town, advised me to record all conversations which I was doing and to only deal with this company by mail.  He hung up before I could say another word.  I haven't heard from them since last Tuesday.

An "unknown" number has been calling my cell phone recently, so I decided to answer today to see who it was. Someone calling themselves "Mr. Michael Carr" asked for me by name & then proceeded to tell me that he was calling to set up a time to deliver documents to me for my court appearance next week. I asked him what he was talking about & he said, "A civil claim has been filed against you & you are appearing in court. I need to schedule a time for you to sign for these documents on Wed." I told him I would not have time to do so & had no idea what he was talking about & I am not scheduled to appear anywhere next week. He asked me how it was possible that I would not have a single minute free on Wed. Told him because I work full time & go to school & I wasn't about to offer up my whereabouts or meet up with a complete stranger who couldn't provide me with some sort of credentials to prove who he was & what he wanted. I then hung up & he called right back. This time I put him to voice mail & he left a message stating, "Mrs. ___, this is Mr. Michael Carr, calling from the county. Again, I need to schedule a time to deliver these documents to you, which require your signature. If you have questions about what this matter is, the claimant has left the following contact number for you: 855-376-7126 & reference case #203846. I do not have any information on this matter & just need to do my job. If you would like to put you down as a refusal, I can do so, but I still have to do my job & will be making my attempt on Wed, regardless."

He leaves no phone number to call him back directly. No reference as to which "county" he's calling from. I've dealt with county official where I live & I have been involved in a court case before. They will always identify themselves with proper credentials, name the county & department they are with & leave a CALLBACK number that is actually theirs & not some "claimant". And if he's just a process server, as he claims, then he wouldn't actually work for "the county" & he'd still leave a callback # in order to get you to call & accept delivery of the paperwork. PLUS... process servers typically have NO information on what paperwork is being served. They simply deliver it & accept signature.

This REEKS of scam!

today...i got a restricted number and was told to call from 855-376-7126 with a case number. an unidentified lady called me and could not tell me anything except that i was going to set up a time to sign papers because i was being sued and was scheduled in court on tuesday....first i knew or heard of such. my attys are aware of such as we so peak. what a joke....

They called my work number as well.

I just got a call from "Private" to both my home, cel and my parents home number(no clue how they got it).  Same sort of message as above, this guy said his name was Gene Miller.  Was a legal currior and that he would be at my house on Wednesday.  I'm kind of scared.  Not sure what is going on.  Should I call the 855 number they left and ask about the case # that was left also??  Or should I forward this info to my lawyer?  Any info will help.

There was an article in our local paper from Sheriffs office stating this is a scam do not give them anything, they were calling me a month ago also but using a different name:National Check Recovery LLC scam also

I received a phone call from a private number...the caller stated his name was "Steve Young" and that he was going to serve me a subpeona on Monday. he gave me this nubmer to call 8553767122. I researched the number and found Check Management LLC out of Buffalo, NY. The website was just created recently as the copyright date is 2011.

I received another call from this Steve Young on Friday reminding me to be at home with photo ID and again left me the number to call. I then called and spoke to a "Mr. Lee" He said I had a loan taken out from PaydayOne--which I truly don't remember doing over 4 years ago. I explained this to Mr. Lee and He kept insisting I did and was very rude over the phone. I then asked for documentation about this debt. He emailed me a letter requesting payment...not a Debt Verification Letter. What is interesting to note that A one of the ohone numbers they give on the letter is disconnected and that there are 2 different phone numbers from the letter and the email. THere are 2 different fax numbers as well. And there are two different Director of Operations....ironic....

One thing these idiots did was make it easy to serve them...from NY SOS records...

They left me messages saying they were coming to my house...and never showed. This is like the 4th or 5th time they have said this and no show.

The caller just said he was a legal processor and calling on behalf of my county and said his name was adam clearmont and then lkeft this number. Said he will visit my home or my place of business on Monday.

I just got the call on my cell phone, restricted, looking for my husband to serve papers to on Friday, the caller (Joseph Martin) said he didn't know what it was about.to call this phone number with a case number  so he can set up a time to come get a signature...never!

keeps calling my mother's phone and threatening that they will be bringing summons to my job. bring it on. i'd like to see who i owe.

Same story as Lady, but they are not coming to my house, but I think going to someone else's. All legal sounding and full of collector-style lip without ever telling me who he (Sam Bennett) represents. But if Sam Bennett does not figure out how to do more than stupid Google searches to find phone numbers he is in for a real surprise when Sam Bennett drives to what is essentially a random house to deliver his "signature required" package. I expect Sam Bennett will get the sort of greeting usually reserved for Jehova's Witnesses or other of that ilk. But if Sam Bennett wants to learn how to use the Internet to find people, he might find it is easier to get an honest job. I am betting that Sam Bennett has purchased an old debt and may be just out the money because the debt was paid two or three purchases back (e.g., to the original loan agency).

They called me too, said they would be by my house on Thursday, I hope they know I live in the hood!!! I dont owe anyone anything either.

They say they're gonna visit OUR HOUSE and drop some summons papers off on the 7th.


What is this about? We owe nothing to anyone.
