Called me today looking for my step brother. Said there was questionable conduct linking his name and s.s.  Had me worried! Thank goodness I found this page before I called them back. New level of harrassment from a collection agency...I've never experienced a call like that before.

Mr Engel called from this number ext 212 and said I was in breach of contract and to call immediately.... No mention of what company he was with, no mention who the contract was with, .... nothing. I will not call back and will not answer if the call comes in again. If someone isn't "kind" enough to leave a detailed message, I won't be "kind" enough to call them back to find out what they might want.

Even better-- Get a subscription to YouMail.com for your voicemail service, then you can program their number to play the "disconnected" message, and automatically hang up on them!  Works wonders for "collection agencies", telemarketers and those pesky folks who want you to join their Financial Services business!

I had the same problem.......

Got the call at various time and look for the same person for years.
Most of the time are automated call.
Last year I finally got the call from real person and I told him that there's no such a person.
And he apologized and said we will never get the call again.
However, recently just got the call again.
I told her that I am not the person she was looking for and told her that if she kept doing this, I am going to report to the police.
She said it's her first time calling and kept asking me do I know this person or not.
And trying to ask that how long have I owned this number.
She even said that if I don't cooperate, they have to do something.
I told her I don't care because I don't know that person at all.

Right after hanging up the phone, I went to the police office.
The police said that it's a spam and told me just ignore any unfamiliar phone number.
Verizon also said there's no way to track or efficiently block this kind of call.
But they all consider this kind of phone as "spam".

After talking to the police, I just found that I had the google voice record regarding the person named "Andy". Glad that I still kept this voice record and I'll forward to the police!!!!

It's so stupid that there's no way to stop this kind of action!!!!!

I received two calls from these people this morning.  First they call my house phone, then my cell phone.  I tried answering the first time but no response.  The second time, I let the voice mail take it.  The name of the company is First Asset but the caller didn't say who he was calling on behalf of.  This is all BEFORE 7AM my time.  Another scammer out there to extort money.

I am actually going through bankruptcy and they started calling me and my dads house threatening us. I called my lawyer and he thinks its a scam. He told me to get their address so we can them up and find out but when I called the guy I talked to "Ray Smith" would not give me an address!! Do not give them any info they are trying to take your money.

I got this call from Andy @204, called a friend of mine and "wants to hear my side of the story" like i'm in legal trouble or something, then he calls this friend again and when he doesn't answer...threatens to take "legal action" How can these people get away with this?  How are they stopped?

I just got this number asking for my roommate. Looked up the number and got here. Why would a collections agency call a roommate? WTH?

Got this number calling me on my new personal phone.  Only my wife knows the number.  Other post are correct, company name is First Asset.  Guy named Andy at ext. 204.  Google search lists them as a collection agency.  They are looking for William Harris.  I am not him.

These  people called saying my x spouses sister, listed us as a reference on a job application. Which i know neither one would ever do so, I then politely mentioned I could not provide any information for this person.
Very strange, since I had one of the most bitter x in law situation's ever.
I would be the last person they would list for a reference.

they left me a voicemail message and it turns out that they are looking for my friend.  The company's name is First Asset....I presume that they are a collection agency.

i just got a call from this number also.  I check the area code and its from Canada.  The only business that I dealt with from Canada is Alarm Force.....did you have any dealings with them?

Received a call asking for me by name and giving me the opportunity to "deal personally with this issue, or retain legal counsel" . No idea what they were talking about, and I left a message saying so. They never identified any specific claim or issue.  Where should this be reported

This number keep calling to my work phone!!

best thing i have found...record the "boo-dee-deep, we're sorry, but you have reached a number that has been disconnected, or is no longer in service" message two times in a row as your greeting on your machine/voicemail...works WONDERS on telemarketers...just make sure you let family/friends know to ignore it.

I called back.  First Asset is the name of the company.  Collection agency.

Got this call on my brand new cell phone.  It was an automated call saying I was avoiding their attempts to contact me.  I was given the option to press '1' for a live operator which I did.  He said they were looking for someone named Pablo.  Hung up immediately after I identified myself (I am not named Pablo).  No comments from them, just a hang up.

I'm assuming this is some collection agency, but cannot be certain.

does anyone know who these calls are coming from?

They keep calling my work and saying is he is with police and haraasing me that they are going to serve me papers at work. I can't stand these people.
