I hope you didnt give them anything...they conned you if you did. They can not claim fraud on you nor can they put you in jail for a debt. Research the debt collection laws and you will see they violate every one of them

A third party debt collector (which these people are) must obtain a surety bond to even collect in Texas, they do not have one therefore they are illegally trying to collect on a debt, and threats of serving papers is also illegal, so basically in light of the matter maybe they shouldnt write a check with their mouth that their A** cant cash...

Your credit wasnt touched these fools dont have a license or bonds to even post to credit reports. They are not legit, a legit company doesnt scare people into paying a bill, they mail them letters, comply with laws, not these fools that act like they are an ADR firm representing a company they purchased your debt from, sorry fool but you purchased the debt there fore the original debt is no longer with them and it is now yours, the original debt is not going to sue you for an account they sold, it is no longer theirs. Get your facts straight before you act like this company saved your poor credit and life...in reality you just work for them trying to make them sound like civil people, they are not they are liars and decite people into paying a debt or face a court summons, get real.....

Nonsense, Ricky. Are you an employee of "Shadow Creek & Associates?"

You're all a bunch of scammers. My husband and I sued scammers like you a few years ago and won a nice pile of money. Our attorney won even more.

this is really funny as i live in texas and have checked the records and there was never any cases in may dealing with anything like this. also on that note why would an RN have to take out a payday loan in the first place. especially one that works for a hospital. and even if you had to get a loan why wouldnt yu have paid it back. futher more you would not have been served that way because in texas you must have proof of serving the individual and just saying it and walking away has no proof to it at all. you would have signed something showing you had been served.

False statements. Debt collectors may not lie when they are trying to collect a debt. For example, they may not:

***falsely claim that they are attorneys or government representatives;
***falsely claim that you have committed a crime;
falsely represent that they operate or work for a credit reporting company;
***misrepresent the amount you owe;
indicate that papers they send you are legal forms if they aren?t; or
indicate that papers they send to you aren?t legal forms if they are.

Yes you are a terrible person.  This site is amazing, its a place for all the s****eads of the world to come togather and bi*** and moan about recieving calls because they dont have the money to pay their bills.  Here's  an idea. GET OFF THE DAMN COMPUTER AND GET A JOB, or just go pawn your computer.  Theres people in 3rd world countries who cant afford to eat, yet people have the audacity to sit on their nice recliners eating handfull after handfull of potato chips and bi*** about why they are so poor on their $1000 computers.  Ive recieved calls from these people at shadowcreek and they told me of this and it was a bill i had just forgotten about.  Glad they got ahold of me because i dont like owing money to anyone so i paid it off right away and wanted to see what people were saying about this place, then i come here and i get sick to my stomach looking at how much scum there is in the world.  Good luck deadbeats

I get sick reading and following up on these so called "block calls". I don't understand why it's so easy for them to NOTIFY you by phone, but not in writing. How are you suppose to believe and trust anyone who claims you owe them $1000 off a 5-6 yr old pay day loan that was orginally $2-300. Im not really believing those who post about getting served at their workplaces. If it happens so be it. It's a price worth paying for if you do indeed owe the debt. Let the courts decide on your behalf. Everyone falls behind at times. We're Human Beings!!

Sounds like we all have the same phone call. So no need to write what happened. But I also am taking it to the police. I gave a credit card number but it's a green dot card one that I never use EXCEPT for situations like this. That way no money can be taken with out notice. My advice is check into it with the original creditor. Cause these guys told me I also only had 24hrs and I said it's been 4 yrs and YOU CAN'T WAIT 2 WEEKS for payment. I was then put on hold and worked out a deal. So I have two weeks to find out the truth. Because they wanted all my info but yet couldn't send me Paper documents until I showed good faith with a payment. Sounds shady. I even told them when they couldn't wait to SERVE ME THEN. Then I can talk to the judge about this and resolve it because they didn't want to wait 2 weeks for payment nor send me any documents on this case when in fact it should be public records. Also I am calling the news mabe they can help. They will also say you need the R.O. FORM which you never see. ( R.O.) is short for RELEASE FORM.

If it's the statute of limitations it can also be considered a grey area depending on where you live. Also you will want to find out if the charges have been filed or pending if they are pending your local county or law enforcement wouldn't be know. Like i mentioned above my dad is an attorney and advised me to take care of it so i did, besides that it's up to you if you want to take the risk for me it wasn't much and i didn't want to waste the time or money having to go to court over a payday loan.

It depends what state you are in. For instance in Texas you don't need a licence to serve legal documentation. You just need to notify the county that you are doing so.

these guys did the same to me, and i called Bexar county to see. they knew nothing of any charges, so i ignored the calls. well...the charges were "pending." once i recieved the summons to appear, and the ppl that aree suing me got notified that i had the docuymints, the charges were filed w/ the county and i have since had to make an appearance. Pending is the key here. Also, the guy who was calling me...some Riley or something, never served me so ithought i was good when i hadnt seen him. then Bexar County SD showed up w/ a summons, at my job nonetheless.

My sister and mother received a call wanting information about my youngest sister and as you, "Concerned", mentioned they had a court case number and all.  I researched a lot of areas before even attempting to call my youngest sibling.  This is cruel because our 83 year old mother has been crying since she received the call.  Our father died in 2004 but for our mother... with this sister's problems Papa would have sent our mother to my home.  I called 855 398 3350 and as Sarah noted, they aswer as Shadow (Shuttle)? but it comes up as a toll free number.  I am glad that both of you posted something here because I am beside myself between sisters and mother.

These slime bags called my elderly parents saying they were trying to reach my wife. The guy said his name was John Coil and that he was a "process server" for Shadow Oaks Associates and he needed to serve her within 48 hours. Luckily my mom was evasive and gave them nothing.

I got the same call as everyone else. they called me at work and told me that i needed to call this shadowcreek capital back in the next 15 mins then i could "possibly" be served. I for one have worked in the field of collections for a very long time and my credit is not very good, so i assumed it was a collection agency that just found a "new" way to collect a debt by breaking even more laws. My father is an attorney so i had him find out what he could. What he found out is that this Shadowcreek capital is an ADR firm which apparently is an Alternative Dispute Resolution company. From there he was able to find out that they "handle" complaints for creditors. The "original" creditors have placed their debt with this company and they have also provided a locating service, which is who contacted me. These locating services are basically "private detectives" or as they call themselves "private locator's." Their job is to call us and let us know to call shadowcreek otherwise we will be served. And Shadowcreeks job is to collect the debt before the original creditor sues the individual that owes the debt. So after my father found out this information i decided to call them and find out exactly why they were calling me. They informed me that i took out a "payday loan." Which like everyone else that's being contacted by these people did. They did inform me what the "client" (or original creditor) intended on doing if I didn't pay them. I told them I'd call them back, which the man i was speaking with was not too happy about. I informed him my father in an attorney and I'd like to consult him on this. The mans tone changed but informed me that all he can do is put a 24 hrs hold on the file. I told him that was no problem and then to call me the next day before noon west coast time. I talked to my father, he called the original creditor and because hes a very good attorney he was able to speak with a woman in administration . She said once they put a "debt" into a legal file or they out source with a collection agency, they don't keep the file in their original store. They have everything on back up drives so when and if they take a "debtor" to court they just open it up and print out all of the original contracts and signatures and if the loans were done online they pull the IP address to show where the loan was applied from. She also told my father that this is a serious matter and it does need to be taken care of it sooner than later because once they move forward against me, there is nothing i can do until court and at that point their court costs and attorneys fees, and all of the back interest from the date that i defaulted on the loan would all be added to the amount that is currently due. So being the good attorney that my father is, informed to contact them and just pay it. That left a crappy taste in my mouth, I was hoping my dad would have got me out of it. So i called them and let them have it. Like i said i have been doing collections for several years and i just think its crap that they didn't just call me themselves. They informed me that they don't make out bound calls, which i already knew because of my dad, but i told them they should get in contact with their "client" and tell them that they should just collect the normal way. Their response to me was that they cant control what the client wants them to do. So i paid my account and i had them email, fax and mail me a letter today. They gave me an email right after my payment went through, they sent a fax to my dads office stating its paid off, and they said there will be a letter in the mail tomorrow to go out to me. So all in all what I'm saying, is that if you are getting calls to call shadowcreek back, just do it. you have a debt and they are trying to help you get out of the situation you've found yourself in. If you don't call them, then you run the risk of having to go to court for a debt that at that point will be so inflated it will make you sick because payday loan companies are legalized loan sharks and they take advantage of people during tough times. But i guess so does every other company. So my one piece of advice is to call them, pay your debt, and make sure you get the proper documentation sent to you so you have a copy, and then stop taking out payday loans.
I hope this helps some people who were questioning them. Oh! i almost forgot. My Father got some info on their name. Shadowcreek is a golf resort somewhere. and yes this company shares the same name but they are 2 completely separate companies and are on 2 opposite sides of the country. Not even the same owners. So again i hope this helps and if you have any questions post them on here and if i don't know the answer ill have my dad find out as soon as possible. I'll check it out a few times a week. Good luck
