I recieved a call from them just moments ago.  They told me i took out a loan in Arizona.  Not only did I take out this loan at a time I was never there but I also took it out on a bank account I never had.  They told me they were going to place a felony warrant out for me for$427.00 even though the check was supposedly for 200 and the other 247 is all attorney's fees.  When i told him to send me proof of the debt he told me he already did to an address I never lived at.  When I asked him to send it to my address he refused.

i got a call on yesterday december 21, 2001 from C H and Associates saying that i owed money for a loan. they told me that if i did not pay the loan by close of business they would issue a felony check fraud warrant for my arrest.

They called me on Saturday.  What do I need to do? What kind of letter?

C H Associates, PO Box 1117, Rochester NY, 14139. They say they are a law firm and not a collection agency and therefore do not have to abide by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Or at least that's what they tried to tell me. Send them a debt validation letter anytime you deal with them. They can not issue or have a warrant issued for your arrest on a debt. Nor can they threaten to under the FDCPA, it is illegal for them to say so.

The "law firm" of CH & Associates has made threatening calls both to me and my family about a past debt that had been paid. Complete A-holes!

Someone called making threating statements., Would like to know what company or individual owns this number?
