Got a call at my job this morning from a Becky Travino from Freidman & Freidman law firm. She states  that she had some documents that were faxed over to her regarding a bad check that was written with my name and social security number attached to it. She claims that she was trying to reach me so that we could schedule a time and place to meet for her to serve me with my papers but since she was unable to reach me to please call the plaintiff at 1-855-414-8856 ext 381. Who calls to schedule a date, time and place to be served with papers...does not make sense....beware. it is a scam. Professional people would not leave detailed information on your work phone like that.

Save all messages like that one and report them to the FTC.  This is illegal.  They can not threaten to have papers to serve you or arrest you.  They are a PayDay Loan collector.  Make them leave two or three messages - call them back telll you have their messages and plan on reporting them to the FTC.
Don't give into them.

I received such a call from this Freidman&Freidman(the law offices of).sorry she couldnt reach me to set up a time and place to serve me papers blah blah blah bad check with my ssn on it...WRONG IDEA TO CONTACT ME IS BECAUSE I TURNED THEM IN TO THE FBI...CASE PENDING????SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!!!!

these people are scam artist's.Ido not give out such info especialy over sea's.And how in the world do these people get your phone number.Message regarding phone number!-855-414-8856.Why do people think that they can scare the bejesus out of you?????...especialy senior citizens!!!!

Otherwise she would try to serve me these papers at my home or work. I am glad I saw these complaints.

I to got a phone call from Becky Trevino back in November.  She stated I took out a payday loan that I took out back in (they were not sure) either 2007 or 2008 for an amount of $276.00.  I have had almost everyday had phone calls harassing me regarding this payment.  I don't ever remember taking out any payday loan.  Please have someone look into this.  I have been continually harassed since November 22nd 2010.  I will ignore these calls from now on.  I thank you for putting this information online.  These people have continually drove me crazy with these harassing calls.  Please find out who they are and put a stop to it.

If you receive a message & they say they are going to serve you - save the message.  This is illegal.  First of all they can not threaten you with legal action if they are not planning on taking it.  FYI if they do decide to sue you they must do it from a Lawyer within your state.  I have a saved message & when I have one or two more I will call them back and threaten with my own legal action.

I had the same problem with not getting the paperwork but i did stay on them calling and requesting it and they did finally get it to me and it showed that all litigation had been ceased. But just try calling them again and asking for it.

This number called my wife on a Thursday night. Said it was a lawyer from freemen and freemen attorneys. And said she had  to pay 140 right there on the spot or she will go to court on monday out of fear she did it and then this man told her she has to come up with a 1000 by the end of the month or she was going to jail for check fraud. she took a payday loan out back in 2008. I havnt seen no paperwork about this no summons no warrent for her arrest she is so scared and im scared this is a scam that already got my 140 dollars... please give any info email me at bumpbone@gmail.com thank you
