This area code is a collect call to the recipient of the call.  Do not answer the call or you will get charged for the call.  This is what i found out when i searched this area code.

1-855 --------- is tollfree number  . Same as 1-800         1-855         1-866        1-877          1-888 . I never pick up the phone from these  number .

I got the number few days ago. Not answer.

This is from a company claiming they are from RBC but are not. The company is EMS Inc. a telemarketing company.I have reported them to the Canadian Anti Fraud Centre, a division of the Canadian Federal Government. http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/ Please take the time to report this as I too am tired of receiving these calls.

call about 3 times a day and do not leave a message

Received a call at home in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. I don't pick up calls from toll-free numbers, but they keep on calling...

Got call today. I don't answer non-detailed caller display info.

If you keep pressing 0 you will eventually get a message that asks "if you would like your number removed from our call list please enter it now"

I have been receiving this call every week for the past 6 weeks and as soon as any sounds comes in the phone, the number hang up. In the Montreal area as well

They called and I specifically told them I was not interested in anything they have to provide multiple times and the caller kept insisting and then hung up on me. Plus they kept on hanging up on my housemate prior to me taking the call. The guy was extremely rude. I'm really upset with RBC about this.

Got a call on Aug 2/2011, in Montreal. Caller ID was, strangely, "18554225540   855-422-5540." Caller left no message on voicemail.

This number calls me every 2 days and I never answer.  They get my answering service and leave a message saying "Hello?  Hello???"...do they not understand when they the outgoing message says I'm unavailable, and to leave a message?!  The voice is not an actual human!!!!!  What company is this?  Do they need to have a degree in "Idiot"?  A certificate in "Idiot"?  Can you take on-line courses in "Idiot"?

They have been calling for the last two months sometimes twice a day. It is ridiculous. No message. I have a spam blocker.

They call every day around 4pm and don't say anything.
