Check Fraud, SS # investigator etc. To call their office 877 844 4972 concerning a legal matter that will will be turned over to my county magistrate. ??? They can not lock me up for an unpaid debt, if so the jails couldnt hold of the people. GET A LIFE and stop lying to people. I was also told to be at my residence for some paperwork, I told them I would be here and looked forward t getting their paperwork, they never showed. DONT pay these people.

Ms. Demorest can you please tell me the details of your situation, because I have been approached by these "collectors" for the same situation. I was confirmed for an email about the documents but never got any forms neither in mail or on the email; its been a week. I feel suspicious, so please let me the details of it and what the set up for you so I can know if this is a scam, being that I have taken business and a company can't send you to jail for money from what I learned

This was left on my voicemail. " ______________ this is Rob(ert?) Max(im or well) I am a private courier. This is a courtesy call to let you know that I have been hired to deliver some documents today that require your signature. I will be stopping by your residence and/or place of employment this afternoon to deliver these documents, please be advised that you must have two forms of identification upon you for the service purposes, there is a number here directly to the filing party if you wish to contact them to see if a stop order can be issued on this. The number is (877) 844-4972" If I do receive a stop order, great, if not, then I will be seeing you this afternoon.
"Please be advised if you refuse or I am unable to obtain your signature I will have no other recourse than to contact the local authorities in helping me obtain these signatures. I wish you luck. bye-bye."
Frankly, IF I DO OWE a debt to them, then the ONLY reason it would not have been paid, would be because I am currently trying to fight for disability and have had no job for a year and a half. no job= no money!
Has anyone else gotten something similar to this?

I received a message that Timothy Peters of (too fast to understand) was calling and that I or my attorney needed to contact him within 24 hours regarding US case ### before it is transferred to the local Ventura County Court and a subpena would be issued for me to appear in court regarding my involvement in this case. Since the last name was my married name and I had been divorced for over 9 years, I called and found out that the company was Turning Point Resolutions. I spoke to someone who identified himself as Kevin Carter. The US case ### is their own file number. NOT a federal or US court number. I asked what the account holder name was. He said "Discover". I said the account was too old-- it is a zombie account--who owns it now -Kevin replied CNE and went on to explain that CNE is a group of attorneys who have determined that this is a valid collectable account. He then was forceful, citing fraudulent facts, insulting and demeaning so I hung up. Googled BBB and found the "F rating"
"Turning Point Resolutions and LLC Review - COLLECTION AGENCIES in ...

Many other official sites list both companies as engaging in fraudulent and illegal tactics.

They called at 10:15 PM or so and the second call within three hours. We were away from the house. No idea what they wanted. I have never had any dealings with them in the past. Calls started last Sunday out of the blue. Very annoying. Automated message.

Wow, they are getting brave. They called at 7:30 PM AND AGAIN AT 10:16 pm. Don't they know the law?
They don't even ask for a person as they just go into a recorded message as if I should send them money to leave me alone. I think a complaint to the Better Business Bureau is in order. Wait, they probably don't belong so that would be worthless. Any suggestions?

I confronted one of the callers with "my attorney wants me to request information in writing, so please give me your address so that I may do so" and was got yelled at with the response "do you want to settle this or not?"... after several repeated requests for their address I finally got so ticked I hung up on them... but they continue to call every week and refuse to provide any written information on what they are calling about!

Sssiggh .... Once more I repeat ....
The DNC registry *does not apply* to non-sales callers like debt collectors, something they tried hard to tell you when you registered. FCC has scant jurisdiction over debt collection calls. The BBB is toothless and often on the dole from the very industries it purports to monitor.
The one most vital resource you've totally missed is the FTC's own Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, or FDCPA. It's the federal law which regulates collector behavior and provides you simple tools for your own defense. It grants you control of how you are contacted, and the means to sue at low cost. Learn your rights and first response tactics at FTC-dot-gov. See also your state laws for additional support.

Bud Says:
Here we go again?another slimy, illegal bottom feeder operation has popped up in Buffalo, NY trying to collect on old, worthless, out of statute debts. Owner Jamie P. Belstadt, a retread of the collection business is trying to collect on debts that are 8+ years old. The documents we saw appear to have been produced by a second grader.
John D. Yim, 36, of North Tonawanda, NY, Vice President of another junk debt buyer called CNE Associates; LLC owned by Patricks Landscaping ( Current Entity Name: CNE ASSOCIATES, LLC
Initial DOS Filing Date: NOVEMBER 30, 2007
County: NIAGARA
Jurisdiction: NEW YORK
Entity Type: DOMESTIC LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY
Current Entity Status: ACTIVE
Selected Entity Address Information DOS Process (Address to which DOS will mail process if accepted on behalf of the entity)
CNE ASSOCIATES, LLC
3397 NIAGARA FALLS BOULEVARD
NORTH TONAWANDA, NEW YORK, 14120 )is churning out the phony documents. Vision Credit Solutions, LLC and CNE Associates, LLC show NOT to have any debt collection license or Surety Bond in any state we checked.
In his phony paperwork, collector Yim and Wilczak refers to the consumer as a ?defendant? which appears to violate federal law. His ridiculous form would be better suited as toilet paper than anything worthy of validity. It is pure garbage, nothing he states is true, he makes statements that false, misleading and appear to violate federal law, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
All of these bogus organizations are nothing more than smoke and mirrors to intimidate, harass, lie and mislead consumers into thinking they owe money on worthless accounts. This is typical ?Buffalo Style? debt collections that we?ve seen dozens of times.
These organizations are operating illegally, the accounts have no validity, and the statements they make are false, misleading and ripe with lies. John D. Yim and Sean Wilczak aka Sean Miller has no idea of what he is doing; Vision Credit (started April 2008) and owner Jamie P. Belstadt are as illegal as all the other affiliated organizations collectively known as the Mackinnon group out of Buffalo. See www.giovelawofficeexposed.com.

Does anyone know an address for these clowns? Every time they call, I ask them for an address or fax number where I can send them written correspondence and they either yell at me or hang up. If they were a legitimate company they would gladly provide that information. Do not tell them anything on the phone and do not verify anything with them. They are criminals who will be in jail soon enough.
