I received a call from this number and called back. I selected option 1 to speak with an agent or something to that effect. Some guy answered and I stated I received a call from this number and I'm calling back. He instantly asked if I was sitting in court, I told him I'd love to see you in court but now I am not. He asks again, so you are not sitting in court. I told him to stop playing mind games and tell me why you f$cking called. He got pissed and hung up.

This is a scam people, legit debt collectors will not ask if you are sitting in court. If I was sitting in court, I would not be calling anyone because I would know what was going on in the first place. I wish I could get one of these companies to go to court, this will be number 38 companies who have called me with the same story in the past 2 years regarding some payday loan I owe. All of mine are paid, from 10 years ago and now they only have old information about me. They try  to scare you into thinking you owe on a payday loan, but they have no proof, they only have your personal information. When you ask who the original company is, they tell you a general name but won't give you any contact information. Then when you look up the number, it ends up disconnected or no information.

Don't hand over any money to these terrorists!

Sounds like a scam to get you to pay either a bogus debt, a debt that's already been paid off, or a debt that you may (or may not) be paying to the rightful creditor.  Per the FDCPA, you should not pay any caller who refuses to MAIL - do not accept email or fax - a debt validation letter showing that you owe a debt and that the caller has the legal right to collect said debt. Refusal to mail this DV letter within five days of their first call is a violation of federal law.  More info here:

Follow the steps in what you need to know. A legitimate debt collector agency should not have a problem with giving you a real business name and address you can google and verify via google street view, BBB etc.

Landmark who????? called left messages a woman I called back wouldn't give any info on what they do or why they were called. Very rude I owe nothing spam for I gave No info when Asked,  She wouldn't tell me what she wanted unless I gave up my name phone number etc I don't know what to do?

Just received a call from landmark as well, left a message saying the same, from Landmark and they have a file on me.  Never heard from before, plan on not responding.

Did u ever find out what these people want.

they been calling me to saying I owe money to ace check cashing. I am being processed to go to jail unless I pay $714.. cammers trying to scare you to get money. Be careful and don't give them any info.
