I was getting calls daily, sometimes twice a day for a "supposed debt to CIBC".  I thought maybe there was some identity theft on my account, as I have not dealt with CIBC for at least 5 - 6 years.  I got my credit report from Equifax.... my credit is fine (it cost me $15.50 to get it).  I have not answered any of their calls, but I called my phone company to see if I could block their phone numbers, there are 3 different numbers that call me.  For $10.00 a month, I now have "call-blocking".  So far, so good.  It's been 3 days since I have had a call from them.  Good riddance.  So to stop the calls, install the call-blocking system on your phone.  Hope this helps.   It shouldn't cost you more than it cost me, $10 a month.  After 6 months of service, I will probably remove the call blocking, and if it starts again, I will re-install the system.   Good Luck!

So i been gettin some annoyin rude a** punk mother f*%#%r  calling my cell on and off 5times in a row decided to answer made the mistake of verifying my address really pushed my buttons i suffer from panick attacks and anxiety really messed me up hung up.... But then i was thinking went to equifax trans union my record is squeeky clean, if u have caller ID dont answer and if you do dont let them talk s*** hang up never answer again eventually it will stop.

These people are calling our house 3-4 times a day for my husband. He can't recall ever having a zellers credit card that they say he owes on. They claim the debt is from 1996. It is 2014. How the hell does it take 18 years to find someone if it is a legitimate debt? Also, they claim it started out at just over $200.00 and now want $1800.00 from the interest. Then they tell him hr was 1 month to pay it in full? Lmfao right! He talked to the guy a few times and got fed up so asked to speak to the manager. Left a total of 3 separate messages for said manager and only keeps getting the original twit calling back. I'm pretty sure if this debt was theee, it would've come up when we bought our house? Got our loan on our new van? Applied (and received!) multiple credit cards... morons!

just got a call from a uk number, left the FDR number listed above by so many as well as the richmond hill address. They did not ask for anyone by name, it was just an automated recording asking me to call them back about an important matter.... sounds like a phishing scam to me.... not calling them back....

THIS "MR DOUGLAS" is a real pain. I get 2-3 calls per day looking for an individual, who is most definitely NOT me. I've told them time and time again they got the wrong person, then they ask me "do you know him?" I have absolutely NO idea of who or where this person is that they are looking for, and then they say "are you sure you don't know him?" What a bunch of retards!
SO, I downloaded an app that redirects phone calls, I programmed in Mr Douglas' number into the app, and forwarded it to a 976- pay porn line. Lets see how many calls they make now.. I WIN !!!!!!!!!

Have been getting automated voice mails from this number 1-877-316-7404. As per the previous posts it asks us to call #855-771-6022 and provides the same richmond hill address. i never attempted to call and i just delete the message or never answer the call.

These clowns call me daily, threatening me over a debt I don't have. They told me I was going to be served legal papers and they need my affidavit. Over the phone? Really? I'm not dumb enough to freely give out personal info, no matter how loud you yell. Go screw yourself.

When one's file is transferred from credit card to collection agency, does not the whole file get transferred?
I was paying, but crap happened had to stop.
Collections (FDR) just started calling me after a few years.  I asked if they have in file my last payments, they tell me they only have the last 3 months.
Seems silly, if you are calling someone for funds should the company calling not have the debtors whole file?
I would like a copy of my payments and to know if the previous payments have been recorded.

This number calls every single day almost, early in the morning. Leaves messages all of the time as well. Asking for someone who doesn't even live here, I've told them nicely to quit calling I've been stern asking them to quit calling, I've even yelled. They do not stop, I feel harassed! They keep saying they will take the number off there records, obviously lying. Then they get upset with me if I hang up or yell at them. I want this to quit, they wake me and my children up.

This compamny keeps calling, now calls my children because I bloked them, threatning a "lawsuite". My husband is disabled and does not owe them anything.

Be careful about the statute of limitations. In most jurisdictions it runs from last payment but the clock restarts anytime you acknowledge the debt. So either never answer these calls or if you answer deny knowledge of whatever debt they are referring to.

This # is FDR (Financial Debt Recovery). I've been playing avoidance for awhile with them.
I used CCRA (Canada Customs and Revenue Agency) As my excuse not to make a payment arrangement at this time.
CCRA takes priority over everyone. However today marks 2 yrs since my last payment. Don't know about every where else, but Alberta has a 2 year statute of limitations on unsecured debt. Sweet!!!!!! Those A-holes can now start kissing mine for a change and see if they can get me in the mood to pay them 10 cents on the dollar.

Also, the call supposedly..., contacted for the purpose of a court order, and that they give courtesy calls for PROCESS SERVERS. So as to facilitate my going into court without being SERVED.?? LMAO!

They called my MOM On her personal cell phone! I don't understand how they would get that when I called them, A  Sabrina answeed the phone and she was extremely rude haughty and non-informative.

Called the number back after they have been calling for a week, No one answered so I hung up. They immediately called back from a different number and yelled at me for hanging up. Then told me they were looking for someone and where the hell is he. When I told they had the wrong number I was called a f**king liar and we know he is there. Now put the piece of sh*t on the phone. I said I had the number for 6 months they said I was lying again.

THEY CALL ME SEVERAL TIMES DAILY.....LEAVE MESSAGE TO CALL BACK WITH NO REASON FOR ME TO CALL ME....THEY JUST LEAVE A NUMBER

They get very angry that I won't give them my personal information. They give me the day and month of my birth, anything you could get from Facebook or elsewhere... then ask for the one piece of information I DON'T post on-line. They won't give it to me to confirm, they just demand.

When I ask them to verify that they have legitimate business, they send me to a terrible, canned, website that I could throw together in an hour or two. (I love the spelling mistakes, especially when the code comments, the "fill this info here" comments spell them correctly!) Seriously, it would take a few hours to get a domain, a VOIP phone number, and throw some info at that template and look just as legit as they do. "Call us back"... sure... how does that verify that you're legitimate?

Then they threaten to call my ex-wife, as though that's going to convince me to give them my birthdate and SIN!!! Had a call just last week from someone asking the exact same info claiming to be from Microsoft, asking me to take down my firewall so they can "fix" my computer. If they have a legitimate claim (which they don't) then they need to move into the 21st century.

I've been getting voicemails on my answering machine from these idiots 1-2 times a day for the past week. They don't say who they are looking for or what they want. I dialed *69 and the number was listed as unknown.

Keep leaving voice mails 1-2 times a day. I don't know who they are looking for. Says it is about an unresolved business matter and leaving a reference #. Who do I report these unsolicited calls to?

I am on the do not call list, and every day I get a telephone call on my answering machine from this number wanting me to call

Automated voicemail left 3 days in a row. These twits have been calling my number off and on for years looking or phishing for 2 different people that share my last name.

This freak'n number calls me every 10 minutes even though i called back telling them the person they are looking for is not with my phone number.. but they still call. the only thing i think i'll do is to change the phone number.

Many annoying calls from 855 472-2734 for no reason.

Keep getting a voice mail from them every few days saying to call them (no person addressed) with a computerized reference number. The guy is stammering in his voice mail. It really sounds unprofessional so I'm suspicious. I went and checked my equifax credit report on Tuesday and there is nothing fishy on it. No collections notices and I had a good credit rating. Be careful.
