I called this # today since I do have Rx's with CVS.  It is automated, and it's to remove your phone # from their list to receive Rx refill reminder calls.  IMO, totally legit.  If you're receiving calls and it's not you, call this # to remove your phone # from their list, since they have phone #'s in this system, not people's names.

This is the CVS prescription reminder service. This isn't fraudulent or trickery. You call and it will ask you if you want to remove the number you are calling from.  You can also remove additional numbers. It's completely automated.

Yep got caught in this trickery as well.  Only thought of googling the number after I complied over the phone and pressed 1 to remove my number from calling list... I guess we'll see what happens now. Hate these things.

Today, I just started to receive the same call/phone message.  I know it's fraudulent because we don't and never have used CVS for prescriptions.

I received the same message.  I called my local CVS pharmacy and they had no record of the person stated in the recording as having a prescription that needed to be filled or refilled.

I recently started to receive CVS Pharmacy automated prescription refill calls that belonged to another person.  The automated system left me a voicemail stating I could call toll free number 1-855-475-2133 to remove my number from the list.  Once I called, the automated system instructed me to not only remove the number I was calling from, but to also remove any additional phone numbers.  The recording also stated it could take up to 48 hours to remove my number from the call list.  Hopefully, the calls will cease from this point on.  The following link also provides helpful advice for those receiving CVS Pharmacy automated prescription calls.  http://marc-bourassa.com/2012/03/15/how-to-st ... scription-calls

I have attempted to call CVS Pharmacy toll free number but all that answers that line is a robot that transfers you to another robot and so on with no real hope of any answers. It appears the number that shows on the caller ID has not been assigned yet and also does not turn up on any listings, which leads me to believe a collection agency is using fraudulent and illegal means in order to attempt to collect a debt. But I could be wrong, even though I do not think I am.

The voicemail that is left indicates CVS Pharmacy. Not sure that is real, but there is a CVS Pharmacy they might be trying to sound like. They claim to be reminding you that your prescriptions are about to expire. I just got a call for a Lorraine Larkin who I know has not kept up on her student loans and other debts, so I expect this is just another one of those calls. Larkin apparently used to have the number I have now. I have had it for over 2 years.
